On Memorial Day, we held a memorial for one of our own City Cousins, Jennifer Brunetta.
Jenny was the founder of The Neighborhood Kitchen. It was an incredible, culinary innovation of the egg roll - the American egg roll.
The Neighborhood Kitchen was legendary among vintage markets, festivals and local pubs in the Illinois area. However in 2020, The Neighborhood Kitchen pivoted to shipping opportunities and us lucky cousins were able to have her delicious creations in our homes, here in Michigan.
Our Downriver area was blessed with the deliciousness of the carefully curated egg rolls as our City Cousin and Owner of Wyandotte Beer Company, Brian Elsesser, was able to import Jenny's egg rolls to complement his crafted brew.
Unfortunately, Jenny fell ill and passed on January 31, 2026. Our family rallied around her on Memorial Day to celebrate a life that touched many others. She was gone too soon, but never forgotten, and forever loved. ❤️
