What a beautiful time w/ folks in Manistee, doing superb work to preserve The Old Kirke.

Thank you for the chance to share & spin 78s for The People. Gratitude to Toni, Howard, Ken & Ruth for the gracious welcome.

*Next time, some old country and bluegrass for Ken!

Whether You Remember The 78-rpm Shellac (most of us think Vinyl) Record Format Or Have Never Held a Record in Your Hands, Let Alone Worked a Turntable, if you are a fan of music / history then you must not miss Alex Tank and 78s for the People, a 78 rpm DJ service, spinning original records from the 1920s - 1950s on a modern turntable. The signature 78 sizzle is still there & the vibe is like nothing you've experienced before.
What a great opportunity to reconnect with some of the significant record labels of the day...Sun, Okeh, RCA Victor, Black Patti, Monarch, Vocalian....what an era of great artists, great blues & jazz, and old time crooners. Sit back and relax, hear some wonderful tunes, and engage with knowledgeable Alex Tank.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 15 AT 10 AM AT THE OLD KIRKE MUSEUM, 304 WALNUT ST, MANISTEE MI 49660.
