Fifty Seven North We specialize in catering, hosting and organizing sophisticated and intimate dinner parties. I am a personal chef and caterer.

I am well versed in several food styles and cuisines. My goal is to cater to the needs of every one of my clients. My style is to sit with you, get to know a little about who you are and what feeds your soul. I, in turn create a menu and experience befitting of our one on one. I’ve honed my cooking skills to ensure that I elevate everyday foods to a palatable cuisine that amplifies taste buds and ignites creativity. My leadership in community keeps me grounded and allows me the opportunity to be an impromptu instructor as well. Educating the community on culture, food source, and the ties that food has on mental health is essential to everyday life is my driving force. We have a program that enables and empower women to thrive in the culinary field. Our services go beyond the kitchen.

Congratulations Chef Tristen Epps-Long 👏🏾 🇹🇹🥂🎉

Hailing from Houston, Chef Tristen is the winner of "Top Chef" season 22 amazing the judges and viewers with his incredible take on the dishes - AND bringing his whole self to this season.

In the finale, his progressive four-course meal infused Italian cuisine complemented the backdrop beauty of Milan and his passion for Afro-Caribbean cuisine. 

Chef Tristen's menu of monkfish with baccalà mbongo, pollo “dorengo” with injera shrimp toast, Oxtail Milanese with Carolina Gold rice grits, root vegetable cake with cassareep ice cream proved most cohesive in the story he wanted to tell.

Along with earning the coveted title, he received $250,000, a flight credit for $125,000, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, and an appearance at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado. The Houston resident also has the opportunity to headline their exclusive dinner at the historic James Beard House in New York and will also present at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago on June 16.

At FiftySevenNorth, we’re all about creating experiences that make everyone at the table feel seen, included, and cared for. But let’s be real—how often do we miss the mark? Picture that classic dinner party where the vegetarian gets stuck with a sad salad or some bread. Cringe-worthy, right? The same logic applies to drinks.

Not everyone is sipping on spirits, but that doesn’t mean their glass should feel like an afterthought. A mocktail? It deserves the same level of care, intention, and artistry as your finest cocktail. 2024 was filled with amazing moments—boutique catering events, pop-ups that brought us closer to our community, and partnerships that reminded us why we do what we do. To everyone who pulled up, celebrated, and savored every bite, you’re the heart of FiftySevenNorth.
