Flower Duet Flower Duet is a floral event company based in Los Angeles founded by sisters, Casey & Kit.

We provide custom florals, floral instruction, flower experiences and tours of the LA Flower District. Flower Duet is a full-service floral design company created and run by two sisters based in Los Angeles, California. Since 1999 when they founded Flower Duet out of small design studios to 2010 when they opened up in a warehouse location in Torrance, partners Kit Coleman Wertz & Casey Coleman Sch

wartz had a mission to not only create beautiful bouquets and floral designs for their clients, but to also "take the mystery out of floral arranging" for students of all ages from little kids to older floral enthusiasts. Kit and Casey have been long-time instructors for the venerable Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California, American Grown Flowers Field to Vase Dinner Designers, Slow Flowers Summit Speakers and frequent guest speakers for many groups. They continue to offer floral design instruction for all audiences with over 200 courses in their premium online school as well as in-person instruction at their studio and in private settings with a focus on where to purchase locally grown flowers and design sustainably.

Nature is all around and wills us to listen and see it. I was reaching for hydrangeas this morning for a few bouquets for a wedding. I looked at each one to see how they will fit together with the other flowers. This one stopped me mid inspection. “Hello”, I said. Showed it to my fellow designer and she said. “Oh my it’s a heart! “. No photoshop, no ai, no trimming. It grew that way naturally. Thank you heart hydrangea for slowing me down in the most delightful way this morning. We love what we do. We love creating florals for any and every celebration. We do it with love. thanks for this fab heart hydrangea!!!! And for all the flowers you provide for our business!

We have a great set of classes Saturday for over 120 students at . We featured a class inspired by the Rose Garden and Chinese Garden.

We love seeing new faces and familiar ones in the classes! This summer is reserved for little campers at The Huntington and so we will return in the fall with four new classes themed to highlight the wonderful aspects and history of this wonderful institution.

Flower Duet has had a fabulous two weeks of teaching and sharing the love of flowers for mothers and flower enthusiasts of all kinds from Westlake Village to downtown to Santa Monica to Hollywood to El Segundo to Rolling Hills Estates to Torrance and beyond! More on those posts to come soon!

But today is about MOMS! We love our mom - her love of floral prints, her help with our early flower business venture in the early 2000s, her own business of handmade reversible aprons and dolls and of course, her love for us, her children.

About The Sisters

SISTERS Casey and Kit Coleman co-founded Flower Duet in Los Angeles almost 20 years ago as a side-hustle at the insistence of their girlfriends who thought that what they did was fun and cool.

What Kit and Casey did in 1999 was teach their friends how to arrange flowers in a relaxed party atmosphere. Those girlfriends started to get married and asked the Coleman sisters to make their wedding flowers so Flower Duet was born.

Fast forward to 2019 and the Coleman sisters still teach how to arrange flowers in a relaxed party atmosphere at their 4,500 square foot design studio in the South Bay of Los Angeles - AND - they make beautiful flower designs for all of life’s celebrations including weddings and parties - AND they do a lot of other super cool things with flowers.

In addition to their expanding floral design studio business in Torrance, Kit & Casey are actively involved in volunteerism in their local community and through charitable donations to their local public school districts of Redondo Beach, Torrance, Los Angeles and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
