Intimate lakeside mountain wedding venue featuring ceremony area with a mountain + lake backdrop, covered outdoor reception space, onsite lodging for up to 21 and 90+ more within walking distance, multi-day options, no end time, and open-vendor policy. When it comes to romantic mountain marriages, there’s no better setting than Nantahala Weddings & Events, a premier wedding venue nestled in the Na

ntahala National Forest. We specialize in unforgettable celebrations that capitalize on Nantahala’s natural beauty and your unique style, leaving you and your guests with memories you’ll treasure forever. No noise restrictions! Location
We are a destination wedding location with a focus on nature. The lake, mountains, river, and waterfalls provide a wide variety of activities for your guests – boating, swimming, whitewater rafting, hiking, and fishing – as well as spectacular wedding photo opportunities. The Venue
Our venue has the serenity of a private park, so little decorating is needed to make it sparkle. We focus on simplicity by providing everything you need in one low price with the exception of lodging, flowers, food, and beverages. The Ceremony
Take your vows at our lake and mountain view ceremony area (150 yards from covered reception area) or on Wayah Bald on the Appalachian Trail at over 5,300 feet elevation (just 11 miles from the venue). Our rain plan is an outdoor ceremony chapel adjacent to the reception area. Lodging
Starting in 2021, we'll have onsite lodging for 14 people. Please see our website fro details: www.nantahalaweddings.com. Season
Our venue is at 3,000 feet, where temperatures are 10-15 degrees lower than temps in the surrounding area: high 60s to low 70s in late April and May, mid to high 70s in June, low 80s in July and August, and back into the 70s in September and October. That means perfect temps for summer weddings. It also means early April and November can bring chilly weather, which is why our season runs from late April thru end of October.

When couples ask me where they should stop for a hike on their way at home, they speak our love language. Then the mountains speak back. Siler is 15 min down the road, treks 2 miles of Appalachian trail, and if you look to the north you can see Wayah bald across the way. 360 degrees of blue ridges.

Cheers to the years HoneyBook! Thank you for the water bottle and hydration packs. More than the kind gesture we appreciate the service HoneyBook has provided us and our couples over the last ~5 (?! time flies) years. Before HoneyBook we used handwritten notes and hand signed rental agreements. Forever grateful! HoneyBook We Are HoneyBook

Extra special wedding with a full circle story coming out soon! This bride attended the very first wedding here (my wedding in 2014). She was a teenager, her dad officiated and her beloved dog Bartram was loved and adored all Wedding long. Some wedding hit all the feelers. Photography by Molly & Jon Harris !

Some moments on a wedding day simply can’t be recreated… and this was one of them.

When Jared turned around and saw Katlynn for the first time, the look on his face said everything. It wasn’t about the dress, the venue, or the details. It was about seeing the woman he was about to spend the rest of his life with.

Katlynn looked absolutely breathtaking, and every part of their wedding day reflected who they are as a couple—beautiful, genuine, and full of love.

These are the moments we live for. The quiet emotions, the happy tears, and the memories that will only grow more meaningful with time. Thank you, Jared & Katlynn, for trusting us to capture such an unforgettable part of your story.

Barefoot Path Warning: You may stumble on the path for a quick walk… but end up spending 20 minutes walking barefoot through the forest like a happy kid. 😄👣 Trying to make more places for the fairies to live up here and for people to play. My kids said the fairies already moved in. Side note: Real before and after. No AI. All real iPhone photos, blisters, and muddy shoes.
