I had a special request for a Bourbon Brown Sugar Chicken Thighs for a wedding this weekend and they were a hit! So many guests came back for seconds, which is always the best compliment. They have officially earned a permanent spot on the menu! 😋

When your old boss comes to help you at your "new job"… so I guess we kind of switched roles! 😂

A little backstory for those who don’t know, I worked at LongHorn Steakhouse here in Topeka for almost 10 years. Bryan hired me when I was only 18, and we spent many years working together and eventually managing together.

I learned so much during those years that I’ve carried with me into Brick Road Catering. It’s pretty special that the people who helped shape me at the beginning of my restaurant career are still showing up and supporting me now. 🥰

Keeping food simple isn’t always a bad thing! I love offering familiar comfort foods for those who aren’t adventurous, while sprinkling in a few new flavors for those who like to test the waters.

I try my best to make sure everything on my grazing tables is something I would personally eat because there’s no reason to add things just for looks if nobody is going to touch them! 😊
