Here at MongoQ we believe in transparency. We can not begin to show our appreciation and gratitude for all of our customers and everyone that has given us a chance to feed you or your family. We are getting hit with lots of messages asking us to come to events, businesses, or just simply asking where we are going to be next. Bill and I decided that this year we were going to take minimal jobs because we just needed to enjoy our kids and grandchildren a little bit more. But man, life has really been hitting our family hard.
We value every customer and we are still working! We are, however, limiting our food truck operations, as that is the most labor intensive aspect for us.
PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE to reach out to us for any CATERING inquiries and SAUCE orders! We will still be traveling to and from KC often and these sales will be key to that effort! This is still our income and we are tightroping it here!
All commitments we have already scheduled will be honored and as soon as we can breathe, we will start scheduling again.
In October, Bill’s nephew Charles and his gf were involved in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. He suffered a tbi and more broken bones then not. Charles is still in a care facility but is showing progression everyday. Praise God! For those of you that don’t know, Charles hand drew our MongoQ sign on our truck. He is an accomplished artist who graduated from KSU with an art degree, on his way to get his masters and was instructing art classes. That sign will never leave our truck. ❤️
In January my dad passed away after he was sedated for a procedure he had done multiple times. His body was so tired and he went the way most of us can only hope to go, in his sleep with music playing. He was 79, a lover of anything Elvis, the most amazing man and role model I have ever known. He is so missed. 😢💔
March rolls around and one of my best friends I’ve known since 7th grade, got pneumonia and passed several days later. Brent, you’re never far from my mind or heart. ❤️
Then, on April 21st my oldest son Andrew got hit while riding his motorcycle home from work at Washburn University. He has been in the hospital in KC since then. He has had 6 or 7 surgeries on his leg so far with his biggest one this coming Friday, May 8, that will last all day. We could use all the prayers possible for that procedure. He also suffered a broken jaw and had to have his jaw reset and wired shut. Watching your child in so much pain and the uncertainty of the outcome is nothing I would wish on any parent. 😢💔
Life has been handing us one heartache/challenge after another this year. We are exhausted, broken, struggling mentally, and just need life to give us a break. 2026 is the year…… well, the year that can really just go away already. We still plan on getting out and around this year. We pray that we are able to keep doing what we love. But most importantly we are praying so hard for our loved ones that they keep pushing forward and we start seeing a light that we are so needing to see right now. If you see us out and about, we always accept hugs, prayers and conversation. 🥰
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts and we truly appreciate your support. If you wouldn’t mind saying a prayer or two for all of our family and their healing, we would be eternally grateful. 🙏❤️
