Today was an amazing day. It was an honor and a pleasure to serve the ones who have served our country. Nearly 20 lbs of pulled pork were dropped off to Veteran’s Creed Outdoors Team Texas to feed veterans going on a hunting trip this weekend. Thank you BBQ RUBDOWN for donating the seasoning to make this BBQ incredibly delicious and Justin P. Richardson for donating the supplies to make this possible. Please go support Veteran’s Creed Outdoor Texas and help them serve the soldiers that have given so much so that you and I can do the things we love everyday.

Had an amazing on-site catering event last Friday. It started with cooking Thursday morning at 6:00am and went all the way until 3:00pm on Friday. Lots of great BBQ including Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoked Green Beans, Sausage, and burgers made to order. I even broke out my baking skills with some sopapilla cheesecake. What’s the best way to make wings? Season them with BBQ RUBDOWN. Smoke them on the Traeger Grills. Then put some char on them from charcoal with the Weber Grills. Roasted some sweet corn from H-E-B and this meal was complete.

Here is the finish to family reunion event I was invited to cater. Pulled pork was first on the menu. Followed by Vegetarian smoked green beans which were the big “outside the box” dish. Instead of chicken stock and bacon, I used vegetable stock and Portabella mushrooms along with some new spices I found at H-E-B with the help of their amazing cooking staff. There were also 8 racks of ribs using Breggy Bomb Foods and Texas Pepper Jelly. Top that all off with a prime brisket from Smitty's Meatmarket & Smokehouse. Alll meats were seasoned with BBQ RUBDOWN, smoked with Bear Mountain BBQ on a Traeger Grills and temps minutes by MEATER. It was a great 3 days of cooking and I look forward to the next event.

Today is a really cool day. Our biggest catering event is going down. It’s a family reunion that involves 2 nights of food. Tonight is 25 lbs of smoked then grilled wings (3 flavors) and 2 dishes of sopapilla cheesecake for dessert. Tomorrow is 10 lbs of pulled pork, 15 lbs of brisket sliced and chopped, 8 racks of ribs, and 2 dishes of vegetarian smoked green beans.
