Journalist and activist Alison Weir will be visiting Toledo on Dec. 9 to promote her new book “Against Our Better Judgment: The Hidden History of How the U.S. Was Used to Create Israel.”

The lecture will be at the Unity Church at 6 p.m. It is a free event and is open to the public.

The event will be presented by Third Space (a community center in Toledo), and will be sponsored by the University of Toledo Students for Justice in Palestine, the Northwest Ohio Peace Coalition, Project Peace and the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

Third Space is alive and well and inside you and me if we want it. It does not have to be in a physical space to exist. It is where people meet to grow community, empower the collective in unison, mutual aid & support the conversation needed to make us feel whole, within & without. Third Space will be hosting a grand Halloween celebration featuring art, activism and you. Stay tuned.

Third Space is going through a difficult transition. Due to a variety of reasons we will not be able to continue providing a physical community space as we have for the past two years. The doors at 137 N. Michigan St. will close at the end of November. A grateful and humble thank you goes out to all who have supported the space in many different capacities. It has been a wonderful 2 years. B-Bop Records will be moving out of the place as well and will continue to operate as a mail order business.

WOOHOO! We just reached $500, which means that thanks to the effort of our matching donor, we will receive the $1000 necessary to stay open through summer! We will still be soliciting donations, as every dollar helps us stay afloat through the future - and you can still unlock pictures of our organizers from the 80's by doing so!
