At least 12 families across the United States will be receiving a Gold Star pin, after they get a knock on the door informing them that their loved one gave their life in Afghanistan today.

12 families will have to plan funerals.
12 families will cry out in pain.
12 families will fall to their knees.

12 families lives will forever change today.
