Peachy Keen Coordination by Cindy Lindsley

Peachy Keen Coordination by Cindy Lindsley Making wedding planning peachy for authentic & unconventional couples. Turns out, a lot of you aren’t into those extremes. This is where we differ.

I’m Cindy Lindsley (yes, I know, it sounds like a fictional character), owner, planner/coordinator, and designer here at Peachy Keen Coordination, LLC. I started my business five years ago, although I’ve worked in the events industry for 10+. During that time, I noticed a problem: coordinators were only offering support too close to the big day OR absolutely full-service—nothing in between. Having

worked in catering, venue management, and event design (I can even be a florist in an absolute pinch), I’ve seen the industry from all angles. You have a creative vision and want to be part of the process, but also want help when you need it and the freedom to ask alllll the questions. We’re all about being a loyal partner to you (no matter which package you choose). When we say “we’re on your team” we genuinely mean it. Yes, wedding planning is a blast for us (we’re weird like that), but it’s also a great way for you and your fiancé to learn and grow deeply as a couple. Which is kinda what you’re most excited for in a marriage, right? While the day is for you and your family, this whole shebang is going down in honor of your love. So while we strive to collaborate and create with everyone there—whether your hired friends or professionals—we always advocate, first and foremost, for YOU. That way, your wedding reflects YOUR vision and YOUR relationship—even if it means cutting out some practiced traditions. Be quirky, have fun, do it your way. We’re behind you 100%! BTW, who says weddings are the only life milestone to celebrate? While weddings are our main gig, we’re pretty much up for planning and designing any special event—anniversary parties, showers, and even holiday parties. It’s such a privilege to be included in your most memorable occasions, and we don’t forget that for a second!

Don't want a seating chart? Totally fine, though we *may* try to convince you otherwise depending on the scale of your event.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That said, if your heart is set on not having one, please please please consider having reserved reception tables for your closest family. They’ll likely be mingling the most and as a result will likely be the last to sit for dinner. Without saved/designated tables for them, it’s just about inevitable that they will end up at the back of the room. Then in quiet unison we will all shake our heads in disappointment at your friends who can't comprehend the etiquette of leaving those front tables for family in the first place😅

So - plan for the signs, typically 2-4 of them is best🤍🤍🤍🤍

Like…what do you mean you haven’t named your wedding dress? Your bouquet is too pretty to not be called by a given formal first name😂

Planning trend for weddings with the work I’m currently helping with - you haven’t hired your photographer for long enough, my friends.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So many couples have booked a base package with their media teams (photo and video) and while we might be able to make six hours work, it’s can be tight and make your day feel really fast cramming all the formalities.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Six hours is a great start though, I’ve found it works best for couples who have a small wedding; or maybe don’t have a wedding party; or don’t have a first look; or maybe documentation of their day is less important. For some, six hours is a valuable splurge for THE photographer that you desperately want but $$$ restricts the number of hours you may be able to have them on-site. I super hear that, btw😘
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s how we kinda calculate a photography package selection. Couples who are seeking a thorough narrative of their day and who do want a first look, we recommend at least eight hours of coverage. It’ll get some end of getting ready photos, your first look, and we can fake a sendoff photo to wave your photographer goodnight with one last really fun photo.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For those who are seeking the full sheebang of getting ready all the way through sendoff at the end of the party, we are likely going to recommend 10-12 hours instead.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It can be a lot to keep track of, right? Don’t worry, if you’re a Peachy Keen couple then I am already catching and presenting these suggestions to you. Even adding one extra hour of time will go a long way. By chatting with your photographer and gathering their hourly rates, I’m able to help advise how many hours I feel might be most beneficial.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s ultimately up to you on how much of your wedding day story you want to be told through photos and videos though. We support whatever is right for your vision and budget🤍🤍

Shine bright like a diamond…or disco ball🪩
Don’t underestimate the logistics of these things. They seem so simple, don’t they?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First of all, prepare yourself - they are more expensive than you probably realize. So if you hope to have a lot, know it’s a small investment to get the impactful sizes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Get one size larger than what you think you need, once they are hung up it’s amazing how small they can seem, especially in a large space😊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Who is going to hang this/these? I’ll tell you firstly that I don’t hang these for clients, so it ain’t me😂 in some cases where your florist is including hanging installs and it’s included in the design, they *may* hang these for you too (tip extra for that btw).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
…but honestly, the person that should really hang these is a lighting specialist. If you want the quality, as always, I believe you’ll want a pro. We will send you to the right people!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you want these to operate, you need a spinner as well as a few pinpoint lights to help hit the ball on all sides as the spinner rotates the ball.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And finally, get the pinpoint lights on a dimmer. This way we can pull down the disco lighting during toasts so people don’t have speckles on their face in photos as they are speaking😉😉

You're getting ready off property, so how should you handle your first look? Most of the time, I recommend doing your first look at the hotel/location that you are both getting ready at that day. It's a great way to have portraits done in a different setting; you’ll have lots of photos at your venue later in the day😁It's usually quieter since your vendors are working hard to set up at your wedding venue and sometimes those ladders or even mic plug ins can be jarring😅 Plus, you can also commute together and react to seeing your space together, which is just oodles adorbs!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Extra tip for you - at the hotel I highly recommend asking for a corner room to get ready in, they tend to be a pinch bigger and bring in twice as much delicious natural lighting☀️

Who is currently watching 'Perfect Match' on Netflix hosted by heartthrob Nick Lachey? If you're a Netflix reality television ju**ie and you aren't watching it yet, you haven't understood the pain of the last cliffhanger! Fortunately for you, the next episodes are posted TODAY and you can binge straight through them. Spoilers may be below - but what's your theories on Francesca?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, when your couple is into reality TV dating shows and names their table numbers appropriately as a nod to them - you know as a coordinator that you truly have found *pause for dramatic effect* "Your Perfect Match"🥲😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sorry - one more thing on this because it's been making me scratch my head...how has dating show 'Are You The One' NOT had any issues with this new television show name?! Afterall, they are the ones that coined the beams of light with the large question of "finding their Perfect Match"🤔
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ok, I'm done. Happy trash day - it’s gonna get messy😂

It was five years ago today that I woke up and put on this dress🤍

The dress my mom and best friend helped me into with endless real buttons down the entire back.

The dress that my now husband saw me wearing the moment he first held me on our wedding day.

The dress that my corgis rode on the back of via the unbustled train while I walking in the winery.

The dress that experienced literally sun, rain, mist, hail, even some snowand just about any other weather condition that could happen on a February day.

The dress that I wore to our winery ceremony, brewery reception, and then bar hopping after party. I wore it from about 10am until 3am🥲

The dress that ended up ombré within hours and sits that way to this day in my closet full of soo many memories🤍🤎

I could have worn anything on that day five years ago, but I really did end up loving this dress and my first day of marriage in it.

Today takes me back to this perfect August day and gets me so excited for spring🧡🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
…and then I remember that this weather is a temptress and that second winter is still upon us😂 It’s ok Mother Nature, I’m still gonna love and lean into this day😊 what can you do to plan on a crisp day like today?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- spray paint those frames that you bought for DIYing your signs. Make sure to put tarp down before you dye your driveway!
- pull your laptop outside and work on your guest list and collecting addresses
- my favorite: forgettttt wedding planning entirely for a day: on a walk, an evening car ride, or a happy hour with your soon-to-be and take this all in🥹

Couples who just got engaged, I have hot a tip for you to keep your wedding planning organized:

Setup a separate gmail account for your wedding planning venture. Not only will it keep everything better streamlined but AFTER your email you can eventually archive that email address.

Make sure you sync this email address up in a way to make sure that you regularly check it, too!😉😉

At some point in your evening, I hope and advise you to find a moment during your reception and just take it in - all of it. How surreal it is. How visually beautiful it is. How all your favorite people are sitting together in one place, for you two. It’s a special moment. Once in a lifetime.
