Our first Fall Mini Session day last Sunday turned out to be **exactly what we were hoping for**! 🍁 The weather was beautiful, the fall colors were starting to show, and it was such a fun day of capturing some sweet family memories📸🤎

And now I only have **2 spots left** for my November 1st Fall Mini Sessions at Kent Park in Oxford!

I thought it was probably time to reintroduce myself around here.

❌I will never tell you I'm perfect, and I'll never expect you to be either.

🌟I'm fun-loving, kind, curious, and probably a little more sentimental than I let on😅 I love laughing, trying new things, spending time with family and friends, doing anything with my son, Tommy, and of course, capturing special moments in time.

💗Most of the time, I'm not much of a realist. I'm a dreamer. I like imagining what's possible and looking forward to what's next.

But when it comes to photographs and memories, this is one place where I am very much a realist.

Because I know how quickly life changes.

Kids grow. Families change. People we love get older. The little things we don't think twice about today can become some of the things we treasure most years from now.

That's one of the reasons I love what I do.

I don't expect your family to be perfect in front of my camera. I don't need everyone sitting perfectly still or smiling at the same time.

I want to capture *your* people. The laughs, the personalities, the connection, the little moments in between. The things you'll look back on someday and be so glad you have🥰

I'm so excited to share this family session because there were so many little moments I loved capturing🥰

These girls with their baby sister, everyone walking together, the little in-between moments... this family gave me so many sweet memories to capture🤎

One of my favorite things about family photography is that you don't always need everyone perfectly posed or looking at the camera. Sometimes it's those little moments that end up meaning the most when you look back on them later📸

🍂 Okay Iowa... can we PLEASE have some actual fall weather now?! 😂🍂

This week has definitely been giving us more rain and gloomy skies than pretty fall days!

But I'm still over here hoping for some beautiful fall color, cozy sweaters, pumpkins, and of course... FALL PHOTOS! 📸🤎

I have fall mini sessions coming up at Kent Park in Oxford on **September 27 & October 4**, and I'm really looking forward to getting outside and capturing some sweet family memories when we get a break from all this rain. 🍁

I've also been thinking... would anyone be interested in a **later October fall mini date**? Maybe October 25? 🍂🤎

I'm thinking a later date might be nice for anyone who wants those beautiful fall colors but doesn't want to rush into photos while the weather is still doing whatever it's doing. 😂

📸I have a question for the parents...

💁‍♀️What is one type of family photo you wish you had more of from when you were growing up?

For me, I wish I had more photos with my parents. My brother and I had yearly photos taken until we got way older, but we didn't really do family photos together.

Now that I'm older, I realize how special those pictures would be to have🥹

🫶It makes me appreciate family photography even more because sometimes the photos we don't think much about today become the ones we treasure years from now.
