This year’s Most Patriotically Decorated Boat Award goes to “Washington Crossing the Chain!” 🇺🇸🚤

Complete with George Washington and his crew aboard an aluminum fishing boat, this clever and hilarious take on the famous crossing captured the spirit of America’s 250th birthday while giving it a true Northwoods twist. The creativity, humor, and patriotic pride made it a crowd favorite and a deserving champion!

Thank you to everyone who decorated their boats, participated in the parade, watched from around the lake, and helped make another unforgettable Long Lake tradition. We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with next year!

Please make sure candy, wrappers, decorations, and other items stay out of the water. If you're handing out treats, use a floating bag or a creative delivery system that keeps everything above the lake. Together, we can celebrate America's 250th birthday while protecting the lake we all love. 🚤🦅♻️

👀🚤 Planning to watch the Long Lake Boat Parade? Because Long Lake has very limited public shoreline viewing areas, the best way to enjoy the parade is from the water! If you have friends or family on the lake, join them at their dock—or bring your own boat and anchor along the parade route for a front-row seat. However you watch, come celebrate America's 250th birthday with us on the water! 🇺🇸🦅

If you're participating, please make sure your candy floats or use a fun delivery system like air-filled Zip-Lock bags, a bucket on a pole, or even a drone!
