The Once Upon A Time- All Event Planning and Equine Center is a business that started almost by accident. Nancy first got involved in the horse world when her granddaughter became interested in showing horses, which eventually led to owning 5 horses of their own. This of course meant she needed a place to practice, which is what got the barn and arena built in the first place. At about the same ti

me Nancy’s son was getting married which gave her a surplus of wedding decorations that never quite managed to make their way onto a craigslist page. Since she had the decorations and a lot of family and friends who were also getting hitched she started lending them out, which sparked the idea for a wedding decoration rental company. But working with others trying to make their wedding plans work led her to the realization that there was a need for a reasonably priced facility in the area to do wedding, receptions and parties. She also saw a need for a B&B geared toward the horse world that could offer full hookups for horse trailers, with the option of the available room in the carriage house, for those who make long trips with their horses.
