Our neighbors need us.

Following the recent flash flooding throughout Perry County, the Village of Thornville and Thorn Township are coming together to collect essential supplies for those who have been impacted.

If you're able to help, even a small donation can make a difference. Bottled water, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, baby supplies, pet supplies, paper products, medical supplies, and other essentials are being accepted.

Please note: No clothing donations are being accepted at this time.

A huge THANK YOU to JB Clearing and Excavating for generously donating a Maxxbox storage container to assist with our Perry County Flood Relief efforts!
The container will serve as a secure storage space for the donated supplies we receive before they are distributed to families impacted by the recent flooding.

Support like this is what makes our community so special. When our neighbors are in need, Perry County comes together. 🇺🇸❤️

A few last minute details for parade line up tomorrow! Parade line up is from 11:30-1:30 at Thornville Elementary with the parade starting at 2pm. Church st. between the side entrance of the school and the Point will most likely be closed for fire dept. vehicles to line up. All parade entrants will enter the school parking area from the side entrance on Church St. That portion of Church St. will be accessible coming from rt 204. PLEASE follow the directions of the volunteers and be patient. Unfortunately space is limited and for the safety of participants and volunteers we have to limit access on the school grounds to ONLY vehicles that are in the parade. If you have a truck and trailer bringing tractors or livestock that will be in the parade we have limited parking available. We will do our best to get all of those vehicles parked in a safe unloading area. If you have a child or decorations that need dropped off to a float please make arrangements that do not require driving through the line up area.
