On October 10, 2013, Community Board 9 and P.S. 93 will be having a Town Hall Meeting on Education. The meeting will be at P.S. 93 located at 1535 Story Avenue, Bronx, New York starting promptly at 7:00 PM!! For those of you that do not know, I am on Community Board 9 and I am also the Chairman of the Education Committee, I will be hosting this event. This is my monthly meeting which I usually have in the Community Board office. Some of the topics of discussion will be:

-New Charter Schools
-New District Schools
-The Future of Underperforming Schools
-Small Percentage of Bronx Children Taking Specialized Tests
-Our children being prepared for life after High School
-Bullying

Invited speakers from the Department of Education, Bronx Borough President Office, Superintendent of School District 8 as well as local Principals, teachers, and PTA members.

There are a lot of changes being made within the Board of Ed and we need to learn and be aware of the changes and the effect it has on our children whether you live in our neighborhood or not. This information is for everyone!!
