Our Story

It started with a favor.

Gloria Colly-Sikanku was simply helping her sister with an event — organizing details, fluffing linens, placing flowers just so. But somewhere between the planning and the transformation, something clicked. The way a bare room turned into a breathtaking experience. The way every carefully chosen detail came together to spark joy. She was hooked.

What began as a one-time assistant role quickly bloomed into a full-blown passion. Gloria discovered an obsession with creating unique designs and completely transforming spaces. Her creative wheel hasn’t stopped spinning since.

That spark grew into Glodi Glam Designs LLC — a Bronx-born event planning, design, and decor company with a deeply personal mission: to extend joy through distinguished events and, in her words, “eradicate stress from the world.” Even the name carries her heart; “Glodi” is drawn from Gloria herself, a constant reminder that your celebration will always be handled with a personal touch.

Today, Gloria leads every event as Owner and Lead Creative Director, pouring her punctuality, passion, trust, integrity, and creativity into every milestone she touches. From dreamy proposals and elegant weddings to joyful baby showers, milestone birthdays, and everything in between, she celebrates right alongside you. We pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day as we remember and give thanks. We remember our heroes and stand together as a community in gratitude. Thank you to all who have served and to the families who have given so much. Honoring the courage. Remembering the sacrifice. is the garden we enjoy today, planted by the hands of those who gave everything. This Memorial Day, we remember and honor their legacy.
On this Memorial Day, our hearts are with the families of the fallen and all who serve. May we never take our freedoms for granted.
