Tonight will be the last chance to view our village lights this season - 5:30 til 9:30.
I want to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to all our visitors this year for the care and respect shown for our village and displays. We experienced very minimal accidental damage this year, which is a reinforcement of our faith in the inherent goodness in each of us.
We especially want to thank those of you who chose to leave a donation in one of our boxes. This year, for the first time, we more than broke even. Your generosity tells us that the MANY hours/weeks/months of our time and effort are truly appreciated. Thank you for that.

Several people have asked lately about bringing their dogs with them to view the lights. Dogs are not a good fit for this event. Too many kids running and screaming, too many lights in the landscaping which they can get tangled up in and damage, combined with the possibility of other dogs becoming aggressive with your dog resulting in snarling, growling and barking loudly which many people find unsettling. A large dog became very loudly aggressive toward another dog a couple of nights ago and concerned several families with small children. We want all of our visitors to feel safe and have an enjoyable time while strolling through our village, creating pleasant memories.
That said, we are not always in the village to supervise and we see photos of people with their dogs in our village. We request that if you feel you need to bring your dog to see the lights that you do so after 8:30 when there are fewer people-especially children-in the village.
Thank you for showing consideration for others at this special time of year. We wish you all a very blessed holiday season.

Our village will be open to the public again this holiday season to view the lights from December 10th through December 25th from 5:30 to 9:30 each evening. Entry is by donatiion, with donation boxes located at the entrance and exit. Saturday, December 13, there will be a live nativity with carolers hosted by the Ministerial Alliance from 6 to 8 pm. There will be a $5 donation per car for this fundraiser with proceeds to help our local community.
Please observe the one way traffic flow by entering down the steep hill and exiting (after circling the village) to the right at the bottom of that same hill.
We enjoy adding to the holiday spirit by sharing our village with the community and appreciate the respectful behavior of our guests during their visit. Wishing you and yours a blessed and joyful Christmas season.

There continues to be limited parking in the field below the dam with overflow parking at the top of the hill before entering the village. Please observe the roped off areas in the field to prevent getting your vehicle hung up in the mud and making it impassable for others.

There will be no parking in the field below the dam tonight at the village due to extreme muddy conditions. If you want to walk through to see the lights, you can drop people off in the village and come back up to the top of the hill, where there will be ample parking. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you’re planning to visit our village tonight and want to do the walk through, know that there is very little parking in the field due to all the rain. The field at the top of the hill-by the green tower tree is pretty solid so you are welcome to park there and walk down. Also, there is a couple of inches of water running over the spillway so you will probably want to use the footbridge that crosses the creek from the parking area.

TONIGHT we open our beautifully lit up village to you all! The hours will be from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm nightly through December 25th.

There is no charge to get in. But, donations are very much appreciated! For those so inclined, there is a donation box on a post at the far left side of the dam as you enter the village, just before crossing the spillway.

A lot of LOVE went into the display of lights this year. We hope you all enjoy your time spent with your friends and family in our little village.

Echoes of the Past Village will be open to the public again this year to view the Christmas lights. The dates will be the same as always - Dec 10th thru Dec 25th, from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to drive through or park in the field to the left of the dam and wander around the village at your leisure. There will be a donation box before you cross the spillway into the village for those so inclined. Please observe the one-way traffic flow by entering down the steep hill and exiting to the right at the foot of the same hill on your way out. Also, parking is allowed in the lighted field only to prevent blocking traffic and obstructing the view for others. We enjoy sharing the beauty of the season with others and appreciate the respect and regard for our village exercised by our visitors. PLEASE SHARE AND SPREAD THE WORD! ☺️

Echoes of the Past Village will be open to the public again this year for viewing of the Christmas lights. The dates will be December 10 through December 25, the hours this year will be 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM. We are located at the end of County Road 367, about a mile off 63 highway, 3 miles north of Thayer. Drive-throughs and walk-throughs are welcome, but if you choose to walk-through, please park in the field below the dam to avoid obstructing traffic and the view for others. As always, observe the one-way traffic upon entering and exiting by going down the steep hill to enter and around to the right at the bottom of the hill upon exiting. This avoids traffic issues as well as wear and tear on the steep incline. Donations are appreciated. There will be a donation box on a post at the far left side of the dam as you enter the village, just before crossing the spillway.
We love sharing the beauty of the season with the community and appreciate the respect given to the small village by its many visitors.
