The Collins Home continues to serve as both a meaningful hub for Hands On Texarkana and a stunning venue for special events. Recently, Altrusa of Texarkana celebrated an incredible 85 years of service with a gala in this historic space—highlighting their long-standing impact on literacy and community pride.

A perfect setting for celebrating the people and organizations that make Texarkana shine.

We love seeing the Collins Home enjoyed and appreciated—it truly is a beautiful space. 💚
However, we’ve recently had several issues with individuals using the property for photo sessions without prior approval. The Collins Home is a private event venue and business, not a public park, and is often reserved for weddings, events, and paying clients.
We kindly ask for your help with the following:
• Please call ahead for authorization before coming for photos
• Do not enter or use the property if it is rented for a private event
• Help us keep the space clean—no trash left behind
• Please stay off the lawn and landscaping
• Children must be supervised at all times
We want this space to remain beautiful and welcoming for everyone, but we must also protect it for those who have reserved it and for the work we do here every day.
Please note: the premises are monitored.
