Let’s give it up for Neon Martian from Dallas, who has presented us a sinister mix to perfectly accompany spooky season. This is a live set she performed while opening for Zen Selecta at Deep Ellum earlier this year, packed with an hour of heavy bass spanning across multiple sub-genres for your pleasure. We’re going back to the bayous with a murky mix provided by the swamp selecta himself, ohnoitsdoug aka Doug Pierce. Besides being one of the masterminds of Wonka Bass, Doug has been a staple in the Shreveport scene for a while now, known for his signature sound of deep distorted bass & darker undertones. This mix is exactly a reflection of that, showcasing over an hour of selections filled with sound system shakers and soul takers. Be sure to follow both his page & Wonka Bass and come see him shell out dubs at the Ternion Sound farewell tour stop at the Capri Theater on October 11th.

In a little over two years we have showcased 22 artists across 6 states, providing over 20 hours of underground electronic music from DJs & producers in the Midwest. This is such an awesome milestone and we’re glad to have you be a part of it!

Returning to the series for this month, we have one of Texarkana’s best, Gdash behind the decks! Gdash is an OG to the Texarkana scene and one of the first to push dubstep culture to the area. The mix he has provided for us is a reflection of that, blending old & new school sounds for a perfect mix of garage, dubstep, grime & everything along those lines. We have decided to reinstate our monthly mix release series, but with a new twist. Every other month, we will feature mixes from returning Critter members, including live sets, original music showcases, b2b’s,and more! The artists who have previously submitted mixes have demonstrated significant growth, and we aim to showcase their progress while still introducing new talent to the series.
