Rain on your event day? 🌧️ This is exactly why it’s worth talking about your weather plan BEFORE you’re staring at the forecast!

If your ceremony, cocktail hour, backyard party, or other part of your event is planned outside, ask yourself early: where will everyone go if it rains?

A tent can be the perfect Plan B—but waiting until event week to find one can be tricky, especially during our busiest months. Talk to your rental company early, know where a tent could go, what size you’d need, and what to budget for if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

And the wedding featured here? It rained for most of the day, and their tents definitely came in handy 🤍 Proof that a little planning can go a long way!

From 20–80+ vendor tents to larger tents, tables, chairs, staging and everything in between, every festival site looks a little different. And behind every setup is a lot of planning—site maps, permits, anchoring, tight installation windows and plenty of coordination.

Choosing a wedding venue is about SO much more than finding somewhere pretty🤍

What’s actually included? What are you required to rent? When can your vendors get in? What’s the rain plan? Is there a curfew? Can you have an after-party? And what is this venue actually going to cost once everything is added up?

Because sometimes the venue that looks perfect on Instagram isn’t the venue that makes the most sense for the wedding you actually want to have.

So… which tent is right for your wedding? 🤍

One of the first decisions when planning a tented wedding is choosing the structure itself - and there’s more to consider than just which one you like the look of.

Your property, guest count, reception layout, flooring, lighting, décor plans, and overall wedding style can all play a part in determining which tent makes the most sense.

Sailcloth, canopy, frame, and structure tents each create a completely different feel, and there isn’t one “best” option. It’s about finding the one that works best for your wedding, your property, and your vision!

“I’m having 100 guests — what size tent do I need?”

It’s one of the most common questions we get!

For around 100 guests, a 40 × 60 tent is a common size we recommend, but guest count is only part of the equation.

Your tent also needs room for things like your dance floor, bar, buffet or food stations, band or DJ, and of course, your tables + chairs. That means two events with 100 guests could end up needing completely different tent sizes.

40 × 60 is a great starting point, but the layout tells us what you actually need. That’s why we look at the entire event before recommending a tent size! 🤍

There’s a reason sailcloth tents are so recognizable. 🤍

It starts with the material itself. Unlike a traditional white vinyl tent, sailcloth is slightly translucent, allowing natural light to filter through during the day and creating a warm glow once the lights come on at night.

The sweeping peaks, wooden center poles, and rounded ends give sailcloth tents their signature look, and make them especially beautiful in open outdoor settings.

From bright and airy during the day to warm and glowing after sunset, there’s really nothing quite like a sailcloth tent. ✨

Give us the historic estate, manicured gardens, sailcloth tent, lace + textured linens, long dinner tables, classic florals, bistro lights, chandeliers and a really good bar.

Basically, Tuscany brought to New England.

You don’t need a destination wedding to get the feeling you love. Find a beautiful New England property, take the pieces you’re obsessed with + make them your own.

Wedding weekends are a trend we hope sticks around 🤍

You spend SO much time planning your wedding, get everyone you love in one place…and then somehow it’s over in five minutes?!

So we’re loving the shift toward making it a whole weekend — welcome drinks, rehearsal dinners, pool days, after-parties, Sunday coffee…whatever feels like you.

And it doesn’t need to mean three days of elaborate events. The point isn’t to do more. It’s to have more time with your people.

That’s a wedding trend we can get behind. 🥂
