2026 Lavender Oil 🌿💜

🤗 There is something incredibly satisfying about seeing an entire season captured in a few precious drops and to share this experience is exciting!

Our 2026 lavender essential oil is officially here. 💜

This year’s oil comes from our freshly harvested Grosso and Provence lavender, distilled in small batches so we can preserve as much of the plant’s aromatic character as possible.

And when we say small batch, we mean it.

Lavender essential oil is a lesson in just how concentrated nature really is. Armfuls of flowering lavender go into the still. Steam moves through the flowers and calyxes, carrying their volatile oils into the condenser.

What emerges is beautiful lavender hydrosol, followed by that incredibly thin, unmistakable layer floating at the top:

Pure lavender essential oil.

No fragrance added.

No carrier oils.

No shortcuts.

Just lavender, water, steam, patience, and plants grown right here on the farm.

After watching these plants grow all season, harvesting them by hand, and finally seeing that first layer of 2026 oil separate from the hydrosol…

THAT little line of oil feels pretty special. 🌿

There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking lavender from plant to bottle. 💜

We’ve been receiving LOTS of requests asking how we use fresh lavender to make lavender tea, hydrosol & essential oil, so we thought we’d start taking you behind the scenes and sharing more of the process.

This 2026 harvest went straight from the garden of trimming our 800+ plants, to the dehydrator and off to the distiller.

Fresh lavender is loaded into the chamber, steam slowly moves through the flowers and aromatic plant material, and what begins as a bundle of lavender eventually emerges drop by drop as beautifully fragrant lavender hydrosol, with precious essential oil separating from the water.

And here’s our little behind-the-scenes advice:

Batch small.

It can be tempting to process as much lavender as possible at once, especially when the bushes are overflowing, but we prefer working in smaller batches.

It gives us more oversight over each distillation and helps us keep the process consistent from one batch to the next.

There’s no rushing this part.

Harvest.
Prepare.
Distill.
Collect.
Separate.

And repeat. 🌿

We’ll be sharing more of the process, including how we harvest and prepare the lavender, how we make lavender hydrosol and essential oil, and ways to use the finished products.

And yes, we’ll get to the lavender tea too. 💜

From the lavender growing outside our door to seeing that first bit of distillate trickle into the jar, this might be one of our favorite ways to use the harvest yet.

a few little upgrades today 🙂

found this elegant wingback accent chair with cream-colored linen-textured upholstery ( I was looking for old antique 🪟 for our fall project of another greenhouse project ) and stumbled across this chair and was 👀…

The frame is accented with silver-toned nailhead trim along the arms, seat base, and backrest. It has four black curved cabriole-style legs & yes, it is so comfy!

After this was brought in, I decided to remove the previous white curtains and made a trip to Home Goods to see what I could find

AND sidenote, let’s be totally honest, that place is very dangerous to go into with all the fall decor and in the far back picked up 3 sets of curtains that I simply adore…

the entire forest theme of succulents, lady slipper orchids, frond curls, phlox, maiden fern greens, and ofc moss was brought into their desert table of cake pops with their dainty square on the top for sharing. 🌿🤍
