💒 Planning your wedding timeline & trying to decide your ceremony time?
✨️ We got you! While there isn’t an official “best time” per month, we narrowed it down for you with some ways to think through your timeline & our recommendation for ceremony times to consider!
#1: What time does the sun set on my wedding day? Is capturing sunset photos important to us?
> If so, make sure to set aside time during the reception to step away and capture those glowing photos 🌅
#2: Give yourself 30 minutes for your ceremony and up to 1 hour for couple/official photos (make sure there is sunlight during this time if taking photos outside). Decide if that time is too late for dinner to start and/or do we want appetizers prior to dinner.
Example: A February 4pm ceremony may end around 4:30pm; photos conclude around 5:30pm and folks are hungry!
OR
A May 5pm ceremony that ends at 5:30pm, photos end at 6:30pm..you may want some appetizers for your guests 🙂 and you could slip away around 8pm for sunset photos while the party is going on!
#3: Are we doing a first look and taking pictures before the ceremony?
> This helps eliminate longer photo times after the ceremony = more time with guests at reception!
✨️ We also noticed that months that have the most comfortable weather, people want to enjoy more time with their guests and will want an earlier ceremony time/longer reception time to soak it all up with our outdoor amenities/dancing outside!
PRO tip: We often say 4 hours is the perfect reception time 🪩
