I’ve been fielding several messages about the below post made by Cattlemens Western Wear concerning Temple Mall and the City of Temple after City Officials walked the mall to check progress but only added to the list of corrections required. It’s being shared here in detail for reference. I’ll do my best to answer all questions in the comments. Grab your popcorn, it’s a long post. I’ve always committed to presenting facts and accurate information. My goal has also been to work in unison with the City of Temple to get our mall back open and 20+ small businesses back in operation along with 150+ employees back to work.

Message from Cattleman’s Western Wear
“You want to know why Cattlemens Western Wear hasn't opened here it is, I know it's long but it's all facts not fiction. The City of Temple Assistant City Manager was non responsive, I tried call her and still no return call. Her office said they didn't even know where she was but she was supposed to be in the office. The tenants of this mall are starving, their employees are starving and the city is playing games. As someone from the country would say it has turned into who's horse is bigger contest between the city and mall ownership, who by the way is just as much at fault as the city is. The city let the mall get into the condition by not insisting that the repairs be made or shutting it down years ago , now they're lifting every rock looking for a speck of dust. Please take the time to share this and call the City of Temple, Manager's Office, Building Code Officials, Fire Chief and Fire Marshal's office and let them know that the time for playing games is over, get the Mall BACK OPEN AND LET THESE SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND THEIR EMPLOYEES GET BACK TO WORK!!
