Always Something There To Remind Me.

I'm Sad. Reminiscing about Pete Byrne from the band Naked Eyes. I just heard that Pete has passed away.

His music hit me when I was a kid on the East Coast. I used to listen to his albums over and over (and often still do!).

Naked Eyes was one of the first concerts I did in w**e country back when Leoness Cellars first opened.

I remember finishing sound check and Pete didn't have much time to go back to his hotel to wash up. I lived nearby so I let him use my shower. He walked into our bedroom and there's Trina cuddled up in bed reading bedtime stories to our two kidlets Grace and Cole.

Of course Trina freaks out and I'm thinking "THIS is surreal." To this day, whenever we hear "Always Something There To Remind Me" I remind Trina of that story.

I got to work with Pete a number of times throughout the years and whenever I saw him or spoke on the phone he would always make sure to ask about Trina and how she's doing? He was a great guy.

R.I.P. Pete Byrne, you'll be missed.

THE BAND: Naked Eyes scored major international hits in the 1980s, including "Always Something There to Remind Me," "Promises, Promises," and "When the Lights Go Out." Voices In My Head," "Emotion In Motion."
