Saint Francis of Assisi Feast Day!

10/04/2026

🕊️🌿 FEAST DAY OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI | OCTOBER 4 🌿🕊️

Today we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, a beloved saint known for his humility, simplicity, love for the poor, and deep care for God’s creation.

His life reminds us that true holiness is found in loving God, serving others, living simply, and becoming instruments of peace. 🤎

🙏 “Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.”

May we follow the example of St. Francis by choosing kindness over anger, humility over pride, generosity over selfishness, and peace over conflict.

🕊️ St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
🌿 Help us care for God’s creation and live as instruments of His peace.

Stray cats face many of the same struggles as dogs living on the streets, often surviving quietly where few people notice them. They search for food, safe places to sleep, and somewhere they won't be chased away or harmed. We may never know how long a frightened cat has been surviving alone, but a little food, water, and patience can help make their world feel safer. Every small act of compassion reminds them that there are still people who care. 🐱❤️

Wildfires can destroy far more than homes and forests. In just a few hours, they can have a devastating impact on wildlife, household pets, and entire natural habitats.

For pet owners and those who care about animals, being prepared with an evacuation plan, pet insurance, current identification details, and access to veterinary services can make a major difference when wildfires or other natural disasters occur.

Animal shelters, wildlife rescue teams, veterinarians, and emergency workers often face extremely difficult situations as they rescue injured animals and help reunite lost or displaced pets with their families.

Today is an opportunity to remember the animals that were unable to escape, while also recognizing and supporting the people and organizations working to protect pets and wildlife during times of disaster.
