Before all of this…. There was a beginning. I want to thank all of you for being part of the foundation of where we are today.
Your belief, your trust, and your willingness to give us a chance made it possible to grow this into what it is now. Thank you for believing in what I do and trusting in me to deliver something meaningful to your communities.
This is a moment of appreciation for those who were there in the very beginning. The early years of how it all started, and how it made possible where we are today.
Forgive me if I miss anyone. This is recognizing those early on when we were trying to be part of the community’s entertainment options and bring something unique, and a bit of home.
I want to thank Mr. Boyd for your very first mini show at Tinsel Town in December 2006. Mr. Stewart, Christmas Eve 2006 at the Airmen’s Club, for our very first show and the ones that followed. Ms. Vicki with our Rocker Enlisted Club show in 2007. Mr. Boyd again for inviting us to the Kadena International Freedom Fest in July 2008 on the grandest stage. Mrs. Amelia for our very first theater show at Kadena Theater in October 2008—the same day as Okinawa’s International Tug-of-War and Torii Army Base’s first RocktoberFest. Mr. Harris for our first resort show at Okuma Recreational Facility, including multiple years headlining New Year’s Eve at Okuma. Ms. Bernier for the kid shows in the old Rocker Club, as well as the final show in the old Rocker and the 1st Anniversary of the new Rocker Complex. Mr. Shell at Kadena Officer's club. Mr. Burns, Langdon, and Woodcock with Navy MWR Okinawa for the quarterly shows at Camp Shields and White Beach. Mr. Farnell of MCCS Okinawa for the Christmas shows at Camp Kinser and Ocean Breeze during the MCCS Beating The Blues campaign.
Special thanks to “Big Will” Gardner of Kadena USO and Mr. Meade, USO Director on Okinawa. To the Marine Corps leadership and Family Readiness Officers (FROs), thank you for allowing us to support your Marines’ holiday parties for several years. To Okinawa’s Military AutoSource managers, thank you for allowing us to support your events.
Special appreciation to the Okinawan businesses and community members who participated in and supported our shows. Together, we created an environment where laughter, connection, and shared experiences helped strengthen the bond between our communities.
Last—but first in my heart—thank you to all of our show’s volunteers on Okinawa (spouses, teens, and military). Each of you helped make this possible with your win-win spirit.
Thank you Maurice at Kadena Army & Air Force Exchange and Mr. Rashii at Foster Exchange for the many shows in your Exchanges and for helping expand our reach within the community.
I want to thank all of you for helping lay the foundation that brought us to where we are today. Your early support, your trust, and your willingness to open your doors allowed this vision to grow into something far greater than I could have imagined.
Thank you and many others (you know who you are) for believing in what I do and trusting me to deliver for your communities, then and now.
