And just like that, fall wedding season is officially here!

The mountains are starting to change, the evenings are getting cooler, and one of my favorite seasons to plan in is here.

There’s so much to work with this time of year. The landscape brings its own color and texture, the light shifts, and every celebration takes on a completely different feel depending on the setting and the couple.

Excited for everything this fall has in store. 🤍

The best way to begin a wedding weekend.

Janelle and Dave welcomed their favorite people with an evening that felt relaxed, personal, and completely true to them. Time to settle in, catch up, soak in the Colorado scenery, and simply enjoy having everyone they love in one place before the wedding day.

I love planning welcome parties because they set the tone for everything that follows. There’s something so special about giving your guests a chance to arrive, connect, and really experience the place you chose to celebrate.

And for Janelle and Dave, this was such a sweet beginning to an unforgettable weekend.

There’s a progression to a wedding day that I’ll never get tired of watching unfold, especially knowing how much thoughtful planning went into every moment.

Long before the tables are set or the first guest arrives, I’m thinking through how each part of the day will connect. The setting, the design, the guest experience, the timeline, and all of the details in between are considered together so that when the weekend arrives, everything feels cohesive and entirely personal to the couple.

Then you get to watch it come to life. The attire goes on, guests begin to gather, dinner is served, and a space that was carefully planned for months becomes filled with the people and moments it was created for.

That’s the part of planning I love most. Bringing every layer together so my couples can be fully present for the celebration they’ve been looking forward to. 🤍

A wedding day that felt completely at home in the mountains. 🤍

From the horses and wagon rides to live music with the mountains behind Kim and Zach, every part of this day felt connected to the place they chose to celebrate.

I love when a wedding embraces its surroundings rather than simply using them as a backdrop. The western details, the quiet moments together, and the wide-open Colorado landscape made this one feel incredibly personal to them.

No two weddings have to look or feel the same, and the setting can become such a meaningful part of the experience.

If you’re the kind of person who notices every little detail, you want a planner who does too.

The way the place settings come together, the spacing of the ceremony chairs, the flow of the timeline, the details your guests may never consciously notice, but that make the entire day feel effortless.

Thoughtful planning isn’t just about making everything look beautiful. It’s about catching the little things, bringing all of those carefully chosen details together, and creating a day that feels just as intentional as it looks.

Detailaholic? Absolutely. And when it comes to your wedding day, I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍

So excited that Meagan and Michael’s wedding at Gold Mountain Ranch in Ouray is officially featured on Rocky Mountain Bride! 🤍

It was an honor to plan and design this intimate celebration in the San Juan Mountains, creating a day that felt just as meaningful as it was beautiful. Every choice was made with intention, from the soft peach, blush, and dusty blue palette to the details that made the experience feel distinctly like Meagan and Michael.

There is so much that goes into creating a wedding that feels effortless once the day arrives, and getting to bring all of those pieces together for my couples is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Incredibly proud of this celebration, the talented people who helped bring it to life, and so grateful to see it recognized by Rocky Mountain Bride.

There’s something about finding the person who makes you feel like you don’t have to keep searching.

The one you can exhale with. The one who makes wherever you are feel exactly where you’re meant to be.

Getting to witness that kind of happiness, and help create a day where couples can be fully present in it, is one of the most special parts of this work.

A wedding is so much more than the details that bring it together. It’s creating the space for couples to slow down, take it all in, and celebrate the life they’re choosing with the people who mean the most to them.

These are the moments that make it all mean so much. 🤍

Butter yellow was made for summer celebrations.

For this wedding, the color carried throughout the day in a way that felt fresh, warm, and completely natural to the setting. From the bridesmaid dresses and bouquets to the smaller details woven throughout the celebration, each element added to the overall design without competing with the landscape around it.

That balance is always the goal. A wedding design should feel cohesive, but never like every detail was chosen simply to match. The best palettes leave room for texture, movement, personality, and the setting itself to be part of the experience.

Butter yellow may be having its moment, but this is exactly how we love to see color used. Thoughtfully, intentionally, and in a way that feels true to the celebration.

There’s something incredibly special about calling this work.

I get to spend my days planning, designing, problem-solving, and bringing hundreds of thoughtful decisions together, knowing that on the other side of it is one of the most meaningful days in someone’s life.

It’s a privilege I never take lightly.

Getting to know my couples, learning what matters most to them, and turning all of those conversations and ideas into a celebration that feels distinctly theirs is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

And, after months of planning, getting to watch them step into the day we’ve created together with the people they love most never gets old.

My workday gets to be one of the best days of someone else’s life. I really can’t imagine a better job than that. 🤍

Some weddings are remembered for the view.

This one will be remembered for the feeling.

A mountaintop ceremony beneath the Colorado sky, vibrant florals that echoed the season, parasols dancing in the afternoon sun, and a celebration that carried straight into the streets of Telluride.

Every detail reflected a couple who wanted their day to feel joyful, welcoming, and completely authentic.

The best weddings don't just look beautiful. They feel alive from beginning to end.
