It’s been a minute since I’ve ramble posted, so I think I (and you, my followers) are due!
This year/summer has been SO different from any year I can remember having since before I started my business. I’ve slowed down A LOT, and honestly, I think the timing was serendipitous. My body was begging for a break, and I’m so grateful I’ve been able to give it what it needed
I’ve had more time with family and friends, more time to pour into myself, and more time to check off dreams and bucket list items I genuinely never thought I’d get to do.
I spent a large chunk of the spring recovering from a really scary back injury. Getting to see the fruits of my labor this summer and, more importantly, start feeling like myself again (something I honestly thought might never happen) has been such a huge relief!
Unfortunately this lifestyle can be absolutely GNARLY on your physical health. Hours and hours and years and years of standing, bending, lifting, twisting, walking… the list goes on. Learning how my body works and, more importantly, how to move it correctly while designing through physical therapy has been an unforgettable journey. (Realizing I didn’t even know how to properly brace my core when lifting buckets was a HUGE eye opener). 😅
I’m so glad I chose to invest in myself. (No health insurance, just small business owner things 😭) It has been 100% worth it, and I’ve honestly never felt more ready to tackle a wedding season than I do going into this fall. 💪🏻
So here’s to a slower summer, a healthier me, and a JUST busy enough fall ahead! 🍂🌻🎉
