Instruction for Scottish Highland Dancing provided by Kelsey (Crane) Deklerk. Kelsey is a 4 time United States champion from West Jordan, UT. She has been dancing and competing for 18 years and has won over 200 competitions and championships. She has placed in many prestigious competitions throughout Canada, the U.S., Ireland, and Scotland. In 2006, Kelsey passed her teachers exam and has been ins

tructing students since that time. Since then she has relocated to Taylorsville where she is now instructing dancers from around the Salt Lake Valley.

As we get ready for another California Championship road trip this weekend, here's photos from the last one! What an incredible National Championship week! A huge congratulations to Annie, Caroline, Gillian, Jane, Jay and Mairi on qualifying to compete in the U.S. Championships! It was a privilege to watch all your hard work pay off on stage.

It was incredible to watch all 17 of our dancers who traveled for the weekend, come away with placements. But it was even better to witness the moments of friendship, travel, team unity, and excitement mixed in with the competition. Even with some disappointments on stage, it was amazing to see our dancers move past, and push hard again for the next day, or next dance, or even their next class. There is nothing better as a teacher than watching these students grow as people, not just dancers.

And of course, congratulations to Jay on winning U.S. Champion again! Mairi and Jane for their 3rd runner-up finishes. Jay, Annie, Jane, Mairi, and Caroline on top 5 finishes in the Premiership and North American Championship. And Maddie on her first pre-Championship win, (just to name a few of the placement highlights). Now we work for the next one 💪

Regionals is done! A huge congratulations to Jane, Jay, Caroline, Mairi, Annie and Gillian for qualifying to represent the Northwest Region at U.S. Championships this summer. Congratulations to Maddie, placing as alternate, and Fayeth for a successful first ever regionals. I'm so proud of all the hard work and dedication to get to this point!
