Thank you to everybody who came out on a beautiful June evening to see and perform on our stage.

It means I get to visit The Historic Auditorium of St. Croix Falls, WI and lose my mind at how great Emmy Woods and are! And more!

🪑🪑“𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬?”🪑🪑

It’s one of the most common questions we get at The Historic Auditorium. And while the answer is technically no (the originals were all wood), the seats you see today are historic.

Installed in 1935, they were part of one of Wisconsin’s very first WPA projects — a New Deal program that put millions of Americans to work building everything from roads to public art to… yes, theater seating.

We like to think of these seats as well-seasoned. They're 90 years old, they’ve supported generations of movie-goers and theater patrons— and some still have the hardened chewing gum and the hand-carved initials on the armrests to prove it.
