Kevin Cunningham (left) and Travis Anderson (right) took on one of the toughest sites PM1 has ever built on.

Kevin ran the planning from the first site walk all the way through CAD and understructure, keeping clients calm through every change along the way. Travis handled fit and finish on the ground, getting tiered structures to sit right on a slope that gave zero room for error.

That's the difference between a crew and a company that just drops gear on site.

Twenty-five years ago today, the country lost thousands of people on September 11. This week, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation brought Steel Across America home to close out its 25th anniversary tour: a 21-foot, 16,900-pound beam recovered from the World Trade Center's South Tower, carried to communities across the country, ending at the final stop at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C.

PM1 built the site. A main stage, a press riser, a cut riser, and associated support infrastructure, plus 25,000 square feet of carpet laid over a walkway lined with banners carrying the photo of every person lost on September 11. More than a dozen PM1 crew worked the site from Friday load-in through the Tuesday strike.

Tunnel to Towers builds mortgage-free homes for Gold Star families and the families of fallen first responders. It builds specially adapted smart homes for veterans and first responders hurt in the line of duty. It works, year round, so September 11 is never forgotten.

Building the site for the finale of that tour, in DC, is the kind of job PM1's crew signs up to do. Today, we're thinking about the beam, the families who lost someone, and the crew that got to stand next to it.

Meet Britt Schwartz, PM1’s new VP of Sales & Revenue Growth.

Britt spent fifteen years in defense and government, running campaigns aimed at decision makers at defense and government integrators. She built her own firm from scratch and grew it to 30 people.
