Let’s look back on one year ago exactly... the last weekend in August, when the good vibes from summer remained high and these two brought equally amazing vibes with their fun style & bright smiles!

Late August is such an underrated time to host a wedding... with summer blooms (and limelights!) showing off in full force, beautiful weather with evening temps that are starting to cool off, and so many fun options for style and color palettes, you can’t go wrong! And weddings like this prove this very concept to us, time and time again ☀️

We firmly believe that the best day of your life should end with the best PARTY of your life too! 💃 It’s always the best to see our clients’ wedding days culminate with all of the best emotions: joy, laughter, love, & comradery.

Here are a few ways to ensure that you have the best wedding reception!:
1. Create a realistic timeline that provides a flow for your guests. Strike the balance between packing in enough entertainment and events that there’s always something exciting right around the corner and leaving enough breathing room that your guests can chat, relax, and enjoy their food and drinks.

2. Limit toasts & speeches: set expectations with your loved ones who are giving toasts that ~5 minutes is a great goal for the length. And if you have more than a few people you’d like to have speak, it’s a great idea to divide it up and have some people speak at the rehearsal dinner or welcome party instead so that not too much of your reception is dedicated to this.

3. Invest in a great caterer & deejay/band: these two vendors in particular make ALL of the difference when it comes to your reception! The flow of food and drinks, as well as the ambiance and energy provided by the DJ, are two game-changing elements to the vibe of a reception.

4. Spend as much time as you can together and get on the dance floor!: your guests will reflect your energy and togetherness, so stick with each other and go have fun on the dance floor! We promise, your guests will follow suit.

August always brings the beginning of wedding season for us, and with so many areas of the property in peak bloom, August weddings kick things off with such color and excitement! 🌸 With green bursting everywhere, our limelight hydrangeas showing off, and our cut flower garden in its most epic form, TG feels like a little slice of heaven right about now.

Happy National Dog day to everyone who celebrates! 🐾🐶🐕‍🦺

We are so happy to be a dog-friendly property... because as dog-lovers ourselves, we cannot imagine celebrating our happiest days without including the furriest members of the family too!

And it’s so fun to see the ways that our clients incorporate their pups into their engagement sessions and weddings. Between the first looks, puppy snuggles, and ring-bearing dog moments, these weddings brought lots & lots of puppy kisses and tail wagging... truly a treat!

PRO TIP 🐕 if you want to include your dog in your wedding or photo session, bring (or hire!) a designated dog handler. Because as cute as they are, they can also have shorter attention spans and need a babysitter for the moments that they’re not supposed to be in the spotlight (Furever & Fur Always®️| Wedding Day Dog Care is always a great choice for this!).

Hope that all of these doggies get a few extra treats today! 🐾

And B&A’s gorgeous autumn wedding is one of the many happiest days... with a sweet couple at the center, absolutely perfect fall weather, and a literal glow that surrounded the whole event, we look back on it with such fondness, even a couple of years later!

Can you imagine anything more relaxing than waking up to the sounds of songbirds in the Maryland countryside on your wedding day, in the very place that you’ll say “I do” later that evening? ❤️ No rush to let vendors up to your hotel room, concerns about transportation logistics or leaving on time... just you and your person taking a slow morning in the cottage and enjoying breakfast as you wait for the day to unfold.

And this comes after kicking off your weekend with a ceremony rehearsal (necessary!) and beautiful al fresco rehearsal dinner, under starry skies and bistro lights ✨

Our weekend experience offers just this! A chance to really soak it all in with all of your favorite people in a different way— to simplify the process of it all so that you can be less in the logistics and more present.

The transition from summer to fall in Maryland is such a sweet season for weddings... with the still-present sunshine and green trees during the day to the subtle shift of a crispness during the evening, this beautiful weather sets the stage for so many beautiful wedding celebrations.

And from a design perspective, it brings such great opportunities to pull in both brighter, summer-y hues and hints of the autumn season to come. And this design does this perfectly! We love everything about this design, from the textural florals to the combination of tones... the balance between a flirtatious whimsy and organic modern.

And we can’t wait to see more wedding goodness in the coming months!

There’s a moment before every wedding when we walk the aisle one last time to check every detail, and make sure it’s exactly right before the day begins 🥰 Because in the world of weddings, the little things can become the big things... like, do you know what could happen when an aisle is 4 inches too narrow?!

A big part of what we do is making sure our couples never have to worry about these little things on their wedding day. We’ve got it covered, so the day feels seamless and stress-free from start to finish!

And here, those final checks come with birds overhead and the creek running alongside the aisle... Just the right backdrop for our couples to feel calm and relaxed, knowing we’ve got their backs, so that they can fully be present in their wedding days! 💛

A late spring wedding with the most joyful vibes! 🌸 This May wedding for the sweetest couple radiated so much love and springtime cheer. With the absolute perfect weather and an abundance of smiles, these photos remind us that THIS is what a wedding is supposed to be about!

Everything throughout the day felt so light and airy, from the decor to the energy. We loved the soft blue bridesmaid dresses, lush bouquets in muted pastels, and the vintage heart cake! But most importantly, we love that you can still feel the joy through the photos. 💖
