As one of Tampa Bay’s oldest and largest full-service caterers, Catering By The Family has earned a solid reputation for delivering exceptional food and service. We won the Tampa Tribune Cuban Sandwich Contest in 1976, 1977 and 1979. Frequent road improvements on Henderson Boulevard had an adverse effect on business at the sandwich shop; therefore it was necessary for us to diversify our business.

In 1982, the Gonzalez & Guggino Family saw the opportunity to pursue the field of off-premise catering as a creative catering experience, providing specialty foods from all cultures and walks of life and the flexibility of going to any location. was established. As the years passed we acquired more knowledge of fine foods; expanding into the areas of display cooking, elaborate food, floral design and custom party planning. In 1993, Catering By The Family moved to a new 6,000 sq. facility with a 2,500 sq. kitchen, 2,500 sq. warehouse and 1,000 sq. of administrative office space. In 1994, Catering By The Family, Inc. was the winner of the Special Events Magazine 1994 Reader's Choice as "Most Creative Table Top Design" competition. In August 2002, Catering By The Family, Inc. took an enormous step and acquired a 17,500 square foot facility on Cypress Street. With a 3,500 square foot kitchen, 2000 square foot in administrative office space and 12,000 square feet in Warehouse space. This has allowed us to serves clients as intimate as 10 people to as many as 10,000. Catering By The Family provides quality, variety, artistic presentation, and #1 customer service. We treat you like family!
