There’s something powerful about women gathering together. 🤎

We don’t just come here to dance. We laugh together, learn together, challenge each other, celebrate each other, and grow into stronger versions of ourselves.

One woman’s confidence can inspire another woman to find hers. One woman’s courage can remind another that she’s capable too.

That’s the kind of community I want to build through samba: women who lift each other up, grow together, and never forget that there is strength in coming together. ✨

When we say we are more than samba classes, this is exactly what we mean. 🤍

Speaking as the leader of this school, from the very beginning, one of my biggest worries was that the girls would feel disappointed by the limitations that come with pregnancy. I know that at some point, our school will need to take a break. I know that, unfortunately, I won’t be performing for a while, especially because so many people still don’t recognize samba performances for what they truly are: a beautiful expression of culture.

But my girls embraced this news so beautifully. 🥹 When I told them we were going to have a gender reveal class, they immediately started picking sides, choosing their outfits, and making sure they wouldn’t miss it.

And at the end of the day, I realized something so special: I’m not only here for them. They are here for me too, and now, for this little baby growing inside of me. 🤍

The truth is, I created this community for them, but every day, they remind me that this community is also for me. ✨

There’s so much more to teaching dance than teaching steps.

My vision has always been to create a space where women can reconnect with themselves, feel confident in their bodies, express who they are, and know that they belong.

Because when women come together, something powerful happens. We celebrate each other, encourage each other, and grow together. We remind each other of our strength when we forget it ourselves.

And I believe deeply in building that kind of community by women, for women. 🤎

But the beautiful thing is that this community supports me, too. I may be the one teaching and leading, but I’m also human, and sometimes I need support, encouragement, and a reminder that I don’t have to carry everything alone.

Especially in this new season of my life, with our baby already being part of our story here on Instagram, I’m even more grateful for the women who surround me and show up for me just as much as I show up for them.

So when you see these photos of me teaching, I hope you see more than a dance class. You’re seeing a community, a vision, and a space where women can dance, connect, grow, and remind each other that we’re stronger together. 🫶🏽✨

As a samba teacher, business owner, and woman I have the biggest news ever.
Brazilian Soul, my first baby, will have a sibling coming 2027.
My students noticed it quickly, my body changed right in the beginning, my energy level went down drastically and nausea took over some classes before I could even make the announcement so I had to hurry it up.
As you can see from this video, they were giving me a hard time the week before. “Your b***y is growing.” “Your energy is different.” Soon after the announcement my belly started to grow and more body changes came my way.

Follow along to see how pregnancy doesn’t stop anyone from being sexy, active and dancing. Now I can prove to everyone how you CAN keep moving throughout pregnancy. With some limitations? Possibly, but still moving.
