M A T E R N I T Y M O N D A Y ✨
One of the many joys of being a photographer is the way it connects us with others. It allows us to capture important moments and life changes for our friends and families. These sessions not only grant us the opportunity to celebrate our loved ones, but they push us to prioritize seeing them in-person when life gets busy.
Last week, we spent the evening catching up with Michelle and Nick (after a 5-year gap) and took these photos along the way. We met at their new home, so we could see where they will be expanding their family. We saw the nursery, met their cat Oreo, and filled out the visitor log book in their bathroom. All this before enjoying Thai food with frozen boba tea!🧋
At our third destination, Michelle and Nick were naturally adorable. We spent our time moseying through the park, laughing A LOT, while preserving Michelle's perfect baby belly! We are forever grateful to do this and for the friends that support us along the way.💛
Please join us in wishing Michelle and Nick the best of luck as they prepare to welcome Violet Marie into their lives. We cannot wait to meet her!

H O L L Y & C O D Y H I G H L I G H T F I L M 💫
This film makes us laugh AND cry, which means we love it!!! Holly and Cody are sooooo incredibly sweet and we can't get through their film without commenting on how CUTE they are. I mean, come on with the "chicken wing". 🐓
What's even more important than their cuteness, is how nerdy and fun they are. They made sure to include this aspect of their life and relationship in their day, so we made sure to include it in their film! Who would want to forget those lightsaber moves on the dance floor? 🤪
What’s even more important than how nerdy and fun they are is their focus on what really matters. Holly and Cody both talked about growing old together, not something we hear a lot on wedding days. They have a clear vision of a life built together and we can wait to see how their journey unfolds. 💛

L E A N N E & N I C K W E D D I N G F I L M ✨
When we spoke with Leanne and Nick about why they wanted a film to remember their day, it was clear to us how important their loved ones and family are to them. They wanted to remember the little moments, hand holding, their dogs’ excitement, candid laughter, and celebratory cheers when you win the opening flip cup! 🏆
For these reasons, their film largely incorporates those less structured moments and portions of the speeches and other audio from their day. If you’ve watched our other films, then you know, we’re all about dad jokes and this film is no exception!
Please enjoy this look into the love that Leanne and Nick share and the absolutely wonderful people that surround them! 💛
P.s. My (Heather) favorite shot in the entire film is of Leanne and her dad dancing and laughing. Seeing their laughter mirrored in one another makes me smile every time! 😊

G R A B Y O U R T I S S U E S 🥹
We will never get over how sweet these two are and the sweetness doesn't end with them. Their friends and family made for a day that was so clearly in full support of Shelby, Ty, and their commitment to one another.
And a day like that makes for a wonderful wedding film filled with emotion, laughter, tears, and joy! This film embodies so many of the reasons to invest in videography for your day.
Of course, photography is important, but photos don't capture the sound of your dad holding back tears as he tells a room full of people how amazing his daughter is (or his joke about clenching his butt cheeks). Photos can't capture the long pause your maid of honor takes to catch her breath as she describes the love you two share.
Photos can't capture the irony of the best man saying, "I still don't like you" to the bride at the end of his speech and then dancing his heart out with her at the reception. Photos can't fully capture the very silly way your friend moves their hips when they dance.
This film still brings us to tears and we've watched it repeatedly. We always tell our couples who are unsure about investing in videography that it is not uncommon for people to cry watching a stranger's wedding film, while tears are unusual when looking at someone’s wedding photos.
Videography captures something unique and special and we absolutely love this medium for capturing weddings, just as much as photography.
Shelby and Ty, thank you for trusting us to preserve this day for you and your families. We adore you both and wish you a lifetime of lavender-filled dessert, belly laughs, and adventure! 💜

S N E A K P E E K S U N D A Y 🤘
Kaylee and Lou had a private vow reading which left us all in tears, a ceremony full of personal touches which had us all laughing, a live band that filled the dance floor, and a caricature artist who had a line out the door! All this to say, it was an AMAZING day!🔥
Best of all, they shared LOTS of laughs with family and friends and had an unforgettable party to celebrate their love for one another.🥳
We truly care for all our couples and over the course of wedding planning, an engagement session, and spending an entire day with them, we form a friendship. But Kaylee & Lou are a little extra special to us because I (Alan) worked with both of them at Chipotle when they first started dating and have watched their love grow over the years.🥹
It meant the world to us when they reached out about being a part of their day. And it meant even more to feel so welcomed and valued last weekend.💛

We have so many sneak peeks to share from this past weekend and we’re starting with this adorable family!
Kristen and Shawn were one of our first “real” weddings and it was such a joy to see them again after all these years. They are as kind and funny as we remember them, but now they have twin daughters to keep them on their toes!
What a wonderful session and wonderful family. This job really does keep our hearts full.💛
