My old band got the opportunity to perform with Smashmouth back in the day. It was a wild night to say the least. Was sad to hear the news of Steve's death today. 56 is way too young. Found an old pic I took from that evening. Grateful for the opportunity we had and RIP brother.

One of the first images I ever got to take of my idol, the Professor. It's, old, it's blurry, but I am so happy I have it along with the memory. And the 30+ years of great memories in addition. It's easy to say I would not be the drummer or photographer I am today if I hadn't stumbled upon this amazing trio. A model of perfection, hard work, humbleness, intelligence, and zest for getting out and exploring the world.

I am so very sad to hear of his passing. But I guess that is part of life. I will make sure to continue to learn from him and live MY life to the fullest. Our days on this planet are not guaranteed, so make each one count. I know he did.

Cheers to Neil Peart of RUSH, the greatest of all time!
