Some sunsets you can't plan. You just have to be ready when the sky decides to put on a show like this.

Three generations. One aisle. The moment a dad realizes his little girl is all grown up.

Her grandfather walked her down the aisle — but watch her father. The moment he turns around and sees his little girl coming toward him as a bride, his whole face changes. That's the one you can never re-stage, and never forget.

This was a Greek Orthodox wedding at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, and it was full of moments like it: three generations walking together, the groomsmen standing at the altar with ceremonial swords, and the couple side by side with their koumbaro as two families became one.

These moments pass in a blink on the wedding day — and last forever in a photograph. Capturing them is the whole reason I do what I do.

Wedding days do not always follow a clock. Unlimited coverage gives me the time to get to know each couple, understand their families, recognize what matters most, and anticipate the meaningful moments as they naturally unfold.

From the reverence of the ceremony and the exchange of rings to family prayers, quiet emotions, and dramatic portraits afterward, every part of the day deserves to be photographed without rushing or worrying about the clock.

Some weddings have a rhythm you can’t rush.

This Greek wedding in Clearwater was one of those days.

There were so many beautiful layers to it — the church, the candles, the crowns, the family watching from the pews, the quiet looks between the bride and groom, and then that incredible walk back down the aisle surrounded by everyone they love.

I photograph a lot of weddings from different cultures, and one thing I’ve learned is that the best moments are rarely scheduled perfectly.

They happen while people are getting ready.
They happen during the ceremony.
They happen in between the formal parts.
They happen when no one is really posing.

That’s why I’ve never liked putting a wedding day on a tight photography clock.

My full wedding collections include unlimited wedding day photography because I want to be there for the whole story — not just a few selected hours of it.

From makeup in the morning to dancing at the end of the night, it all matters.

And on days like this, with this much tradition, beauty, family, and meaning, every part of the day deserves room to breathe.

One of my favorite locations for engagement sessions has to be Fort De Soto. It takes a little more time than some other locations because there is so much ground to cover, but the variety is absolutely worth it.

In one session, we can move from weathered fort walls and that incredible old red door to winding boardwalks, sea grass, mangroves, open shoreline and reflections in the water. Every area gives the photographs a completely different feeling.

What I love most about these images, though, is the connection between the couple. There are the quiet moments, the close embraces and the soft expressions—but also genuine laughter, movement and a little wind catching her dress at exactly the right moment. The setting is beautiful, but the romance comes from allowing the couple to relax and simply be themselves together.

I include—and require—an engagement session with all of my full wedding photography collections. It gives us the opportunity to work together well before the wedding, learn what feels natural, discover the couple’s style and build a level of comfort that makes an enormous difference on the wedding day.

I would never photograph a full wedding without doing one of these sessions first. By the time the wedding arrives, we are not meeting for the first time with a camera between us. We already know one another, we know what works, and the couple can focus on enjoying the day.

A wedding day inside The James in St. Petersburg already has a built-in sense of style — beautiful architecture, museum galleries, dramatic artwork, and that perfect mix of elegance and personality.

This wedding had all of it.

Classic black-tie style.
A ceremony surrounded by art and history.
Big laughs during the reception.
A packed dance floor.
And two people who clearly let themselves enjoy every part of the day.

That is always the goal.

Morning light, quiet waves, bare feet in the sand, and one very unexpected piece of Florida history.

This St. Pete Beach engagement session had all the things I love — soft coastal light, easy natural moments, a couple that was completely comfortable together, and even a hurricane-washed shipping container that gave us one of the most unique backdrops I’ve photographed in a while.

That is one of the reasons I love engagement sessions so much. They do not have to feel overly posed or overly planned. Sometimes the best images come from simply walking, laughing, exploring, and letting the location become part of the story.

Engagement sessions are included in all of my full-service wedding photography collections, and they are one of the best ways for couples to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.
