FSU Center for Global Engagement CGE

FSU Center for Global Engagement CGE Welcome to the Official page of The Florida State University's Center for Global Engagement. We carry that same mission over into the online world.

The Center for Global Engagement facilitates international diversity, fosters global understanding and awareness, and enhances internationalization efforts throughout the Florida State University community. We envision a welcoming campus environment where students, faculty, and staff value cultural diversity and actively engage in a global community. The CGE provides the following services and programs:
-International student and scholar services
-Intercultural/social programs for the entire FSU community
-Global Citizenship Certificate
-Global Exchanges
-Collaborative efforts with academic and administrative departments

Community Standards:
Here at Florida State University, it's our mission to create a positive, respectful environment where people can feel comfortable openly sharing their thoughts, ideas and opinions. We understand that not everyone will agree with everything that's said on our page, and that's alright! We will, however, take action against things that undermine our mission to be respectful of one another. If you use vulgar, racist, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate language, we'll take it down. If we determine your messaging to be spam (especially marketing yourself, a product, or a service), we'll take it down. We don't like to remove your posts, so please, Uphold the Garnet and Gold. Help keep this community a lively, friendly and positive environment for everyone!

CGE’s Engage Your World Speaker Series, in partnership with FSU’s College of Social Sciences and Public Policy’s Ruth K. and Shepard Broad International Lecture Series, invites you to attend “Erasing Ukrainian Identity: The Abduction of Ukrainian Children as a Tool of War,” presented by Dr. Thom Reilly.

Drawing on interviews, documentary evidence and research from his forthcoming book, “Child Abduction in the War in Ukraine: Erasing Ukrainian Identity as a Tool of War” (2027), Dr. Reilly will examine how the forced removal of Ukrainian children has been used as a strategy of war and its implications for identity, human rights and international law.

Following the lecture, Mariam Lambert, Co-Founder and CEO of the Emile Foundation, will join live via Zoom from The Hague and Kyiv. Lambert will connect the discussion to the foundation’s frontline work locating, tracing and protecting Ukraine’s missing children and individuals with disabilities, and will discuss the organization’s landmark report, Found. Not Home.
