We flipped a coin 92 times to decide this cast. It came up heads every single time. We choose not to think about what that means.
Theatre Tallahassee is thrilled (and mildly unsettled) to announce the cast of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead — the story of two minor characters from Hamlet who suddenly find themselves the leads, with no idea how they got here, where they're going, or which one of them is which.
Honestly? Relatable.
ROSENCRANTZ (or possibly Guildenstern) — Jake Armstrong
GUILDENSTERN (or possibly Rosencrantz) — Nate Williamson
THE PLAYER — Travis Nichols
And the Tragedians — a traveling troupe of actors who will perform absolutely anything for a price, including, apparently, the entire Danish royal court:
ALFRED / GERTRUDE — Alexander Boyce
HAMLET — Jack Jammer
PLAYER #3 / OPHELIA — Sean Rush
PLAYER #4 / POLONIUS — Kevin Nickens
PLAYER #5 / CLAUDIUS — Scott Mock
PLAYER #6 / AMBASSADOR — Jacob Grosh
Yes, the actors are playing actors playing the characters. No, we will not be explaining further. Stoppard started it.
Every exit is an entrance somewhere else — and this cast's entrance is August 8th, tickets on sale soon.
(The title is a spoiler. We're sorry. He did it first.)
