Sometimes the best garden hacks are the ones sitting in your shed.

I wanted a little lift for one of my pots — something to give it height and let it peek out above everything else — so I stacked up some bricks I had on hand. Just like that! Then I set my bunny planter right on top, and now he's popping up out of the garden like he owns the place.

What's the simplest garden fix you've ever come up with?

If you ask me what some of my favorite perennials are, Stokes Aster is always on the list.

It comes back reliably year after year, blooms this gorgeous blue-purple that you don't see much in the garden, and doesn't ask for much from me at all. Plant it once, and it just keeps showing up.

Honestly, that's what I love about perennials in general — they're patient. (We could all learn a lesson from them!)

Do you have a favorite in your garden? Tell me below...

I started this mirror thirty years ago. Thirty. 🐚

People ask me all the time if I'm ever going to finish it. For years, honestly, I wasn't sure. Every shell went on because I found one I loved, or one that reminded me of somewhere I'd been.

But now I know exactly where it's going — my daughter's home. And somehow that makes every shell mean a little more.

So it's almost done. Thirty years in the making, one shell at a time.

Ten years ago this was a one-quart plant my husband brought home from a fishing trip. Now it's this! Say hello to my Vitex tree — she blooms twice a year, the purple flowers are gorgeous in arrangements, and even the seed pods are pretty enough to cut. If you've got a sunny spot that needs something special, plant a Vitex and thank me later.

My husband watered my faux orchids while I was away.

Really. Watered. Them.

That's the review I didn't know I needed — if they fool the person who lives with them, they'll fool everyone else too.

I wanted to share this unique flower that I just love! Rudbeckia Maxima, commonly known as the Giant Coneflower, is a striking perennial with towering flower stalks and silvery-blue foliage.

Let me know if you have this one in your garden!

The grass withers, the flowers fall — but I keep planting anyway. Every bloom in this garden is a little reminder that beauty doesn't have to last forever to matter. It just has to be tended while it's here.

A "big" birthday calls for something with a little meaning tucked inside. For my client's husband, I wove in a small olive tree — a nod to wisdom, and to the quiet kind of strength that only comes with years.

This is my favorite part of the job: creating something meaningful for every client who trusts me with their celebrations.

They're so cute, but they've been eating my flowers! See what I've been trying and let me know if you have any other remedies!
