A few months ago I was wondering if all the hard work, long days, feed bills, processing costs, and setbacks were worth it.
Today I'm excited to share that Ironwood Hollow Farm has been selected to provide farm-raised chicken for the Plates with a Purpose Farm-to-Table Event benefiting FUEL Rural Health.
This special event, sponsored by the Cherokee County Health Services Council, will feature an incredible meal prepared by RittenHouse of Catering using ingredients sourced from local producers.
For a small farm, opportunities like this are huge. It means local organizations believe in what we're doing and trust the quality of the food we're raising.
This isn't just about chicken. It's about supporting local agriculture, strengthening rural communities, and helping provide resources that improve healthcare access right here at home.
