Our Listen Live at Lunch concert series on 8/6/25 featured a stunning program by 19 year old Calder Failla. He has just finished his first year at the Manhattan School of Music in NYC, where he is a student of Michelle Cann. Please enjoy a Robert Muczynski Prelude from his Op. 6, and the opening from Fantasie Negre #4 by African-American composer Florence Price.

The July 21, 2025 concert featuring the "Two Lillies", flutist Liliya Linder and pianist Liliya Sitdikova. A beautiful concert featuring Ms. Linder's own personal narration of her Christian faith as she see's it expressed in the music. Her soaring flute playing filled the sanctuary at First Lutheran Church.

Last week, we featured a stunning recital by soprano Laura Loge and pianist Steven Luksan on July 16, which featured Norwegian music to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the first Norwegian immigrants arriving in America in 1825.

And don't miss this week's concert! Wednesday, July 23, at noon, we are featuring the flute and piano duo of “The Two Lillies”, Liliya Linder and Liliya Sitdikova.

The 2024 season of Listen Live at Lunch is coming to a close! Here's a picture and a little bit of the last movement of Mozart's great C major sonata (K. 521) for piano four-hands from Duo Powers-de la Torre's concert last week. The audience was treated to the world premiere of Miguel del Aguila's Blue Samba as well.
Join us tomorrow, Wed. Aug. 28 at First Lutheran in Tacoma for the last concert of the season with the fabulous duo Soprello. Soprano Allison Pohl and cellist Alistair MacRae are staples of the series and we look forward to welcoming them again to close our season. Free admission!
