***Show Announcement!*** This isn't just any Syracuse Songwriters Round this is the HENDRICK TAKEOVER! like the season's transition into the cooler darker months, we transition here at Pink Rock. Not with spiderwebs and skeletons and other spooky things, but with more mood lighting, more cozy candles, and probably some throw blankets. Beautiful night of music with these artists. - every song filled with a spectrum of emotions and a story arc like a full length film. We left inspired and with our hearts a little more cracked open for more of the realness of our day-to-day moments to seep in. Thank you to KAZIMI for making a stop here in Syracuse on her tour and sharing her beautiful sounds and words with is. Thank you to Beautiful Losers for sharing their effortless beautiful expression. See you soon! Until then, do some stuff. It's all creative and in real life. Slow down and make that sandwich boring or fancy - and if you have to buy it - take a moment of conversation with a stranger waiting in line - and if it's your job, savor the moment and refine your position of Joy. Make some sounds on an instrument even if no one will hear it and you'll never revisit it - and if you don't play, listen to something you loved to listen to when you were thirteen and listen loud with the windows down. Write that to-do list on paper instead of in your phone note app - write it in colored pencil and doodle a border because you DO have an extra 2 minutes. What's good isn't the finished product, it's the Doing. Analog living and intentional community gathering is the most radical and creative act there is and it is there for everyone. 🩷
