Back in April, I got this random black package in the mail.

Was it anthrax? No! It was from the wedding site The Knot and it was VIP status invitation to their 30th Anniversary Gala in Manhattan tonight.

If I'm being honest, I'm still not sure why I made the list, let alone VIP, in fact to this day I'm pretty sure it's a mistake.. after all the only presence I have on The Knot is a free listing.

But it was legit, so I RSVPed... got myself a rad tuxedo.. and I'm headed down today. Just got to get myself prettied up first and I'm on the road.

I don't know what to expect, but... I don't know.. let's get weird.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Summer is Creeping in edition!

This Central New York weather is killing me. We've had many events this weekend.... in fact this is the 4th in two days. And this morning I was begging for my car heater in 45 degree wind. And now it's sunny and beautiful. Perfect conditions for an amazing wedding.

We're back at Skaneateles's true gem, The Sinclair for today's wedding between Zack and Elyssa! The flowers, decor, vibes, everything is perfect as we sit here for dinner.

The newlyweds opted for a string quartet for their music during ceremony and cocktail hour, so SCSM's part started as people were already coming in, ready to party.

The first dance kept everyone on their feet with spins, twirls, and dips. The speeches were heartfelt and parent dances got everyone all misty.

As the night goes on, I'm sure Zack and Elyssa will have the time of their lives.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Who needs pants edition!

Yeah, that's the sound you want to hear as you're setting up for a 6 hour, 200+ person wedding. The quiet, yet deafening sound of seams ripping in a compromising place on your pants. The mission stays the same, I'm just going to stay behind the table a bit more than I usually do.

What a day for a wedding! The sun is shining, birds are chirping and The Munro is packed to the max with excited people, ready to celebrate the nuptuals of Joe and Jules.

What a lovely gathering to party with two even lovlier people. Joe and Jules wanted to cut to the chase, thinking, let's get to the party! First Dance? Shorten it. Parents dances? Shorten both! And you know what? They didnt need full songs to make beautiful moments.

And after some great speeches, here we are eating dinner and talking away before the dance floor is filled.

It's how weddings should be, and a great way to start the month of May

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Another April Afternoon edition!

Two weeks in a row, two April afternoon weddings in a row. Maybe it's a trend? But looking at my schedule coming up, not so much.

Today we are situated on the banks of the watery meeting point where the Oneida River turns into Oneida Lake. Central Square can certainly use this backdrop as a beautiful place for weddings, and today is no exception!

Matt and Teri didn't have their ceremony on site, so they joined after cocktail hour with their wedding party. One thing that's for sure, our couple, Teri especially, wants to crank up the energy!

But in the mean time, they are visiting with people, taking advantage of the Cigar Bar, and laughing alongside their guests. The first dance is over and the speeches have been given. All's that's left is a nice meal and cranking it up as our bride wanted.

A friend of mine recently asked me what is something I've always wanted to do while DJing a wedding but never did.

I didn't have an answer then, but now I do.

I've always wanted to order a bunch of pizzas to be delivered to the dance floor. Then I want to build up the dance floor to nuclear levels. And time it to when the dance floor reaches it's peak, that's when the pizzas arrive. And then, without missing a beat we have a nuclear dance floor pizza party. Just pass out slices like foam glow lights.

I have no idea why. It just seems legendary to me

Kiss Cam 💋 time, April Afternoon edition!

Well here we are. Busy season is officially underway. No weekends off until Thanksgiving. Get used to these, you'll be seeing a lot soon.

But we're easing into the insanity with a fun, but low key wedding on a cool, but sunny afternoon in April. And to make it better, we're less than a 5 minute drive from home, so it can't get much better in terms of easy transitions.

Today is Rich and Maureen's wedding here at the intimate confines of Coppertop Event Center. Neithers first wedding, Rich and Maureen are handling the day with the cool confidence that can only come with the knowledge that they made the right choice.

They were married on the Coppertop's back patio just as the sun was coming out and with their families surrounding them. Soon after, we all piled inside for some food and fun.

And even better.... it's our groom's birthday. If you never want to forget your anniversary, have it on your birthday. That's what the pros do.
