Kiss Cam 💋 time, Bring In 'da Noise, Bring In 'da Funk N Waffles edition!

There's something special about Sundays and the idea of Funk 'n Waffles Syracuse being brought up. No, I'm not drowning Belgian waffles in syrup this morning, it's just that that amazing Syracuse Eatery is where our bride and groom had their first day and where their story began. And it all lead up to today!

Tom and Jess made it! They're here! It's their wedding day!

Of course, with most great love stories, are couple had to deal with their share of hardships. Mostly, involving the Grooms deployment and having to endure their romance from a distance. And they say long distance relationships don't work, well, this one did.

In lockstep with the cover band they saw on that first date at Funk and waffles, the cocktail hour, and many references were made dedicated to the Grateful Dead. And the laid back vibes of the bride, groom, and wedding party are very appropriate for the vibe.

It's the second time in as many days that I was out Geneva way. Let's make both days equally epic.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, God Bless Video Games edition!

October chugs on with another wedding that absolutely shows off New York State for the absolute Splendor it is during fall. We are at a lovely venue called the manor house that is high on top of a hill that overlooks a breathtaking valley overlooking Keuka Lake. And with the trees changing color along with the overcast sky, this looks like something out of a painting.

Not to date myself, but I never thought video games could possibly get us to where we are right now with this awesome couple. If I could fly like I come from a time where one wrong shell in Mario Kart 64 for a cheap kill in Goldeneye 007 would destroy friendships. So imagine my excitement when I found out that video games was what brought these two together initially.

One in new york, the other in Indiana but it developed into a 10-year relationship that culminates today at the wedding of Dylan and Jasmine. Everything was laid out for everybody during the ceremony including nods to Jasmine's Filipino heritage bringing out coins, cord, and veil.

And it is very refreshing for me to see a couple that is so detailed based for their wedding. These are two people who definitely know what they want. And all I have to do is execute the play, and everybody is happy. And I am more than happy to have that responsibility.

So today we celebrate at the Finger Lakes with nature as our backdrop and a nuclear dance floor. It's the way fall should be.

I shall create a class. This will be for kids and teens. I will include other local DJs. This class will teach kids the fundamentals of event DJing... mixing, emceeing, performance on actual equipment, much like they would a sport or any other kind of art class.

I shall call this class Spin Class.

One day I'll have the time to make this happen.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Dance Like Everyone’s Watching edition!

I say this without exaggeration or hyperbole.. I genuinely fear that the energy from this crowd may actually melt the venue to the ground. I've seen a lot in this time, but this crowd needed no warm up or encouraging. They've been screaming and excited since second one.

And why not? It's a beautiful Fall day in Central New York and we have a truly splendid couple to celebrate!

Everyone should strive to find somebody who looks at them the way that Natasha looks at Tyler. These two are so in love, it's indescribable. From the energetic entrance to the intimate First Dance, these two have had this crowd in the palm of their hands since the first moments of the ceremony

And even better news.. Natasha is a beloved local dance teacher, and it seems, so are some of her friends based on the very technical moves I've seen briefly cross the dance floor during dinner. So this dance floor should be properly stomped upon like any epic wedding.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, About to get Medieval edition!

I say if you're going to get married at an Upstate New York castle, you better do it right. It seems that Andy and Lauren had the same thoughts.

Here we are at Beardslee Castle. It was a bit of a drizzly afternoon, but the light peek through the clouds long enough for us to have an amazing outdoor wedding.

The guess were assembled in white chairs in a semicircle facing the lovely Arbor where bride and groom got married. And then their entrance, the wedding party led by the groom walking beyond the trees like something out of folklore. Andy was completely decked out looking like a legitimate prince from days of yore. And bucking the dressing in white tradition, out came Lauren and her beautiful olive green dress with enhancements all over, looking like the fairest fairy princess there has ever been.

But all in all, the rest of the day has been very casual. There were no Grand entrances for too much fanfare. Of course, there was a first dance and a few speeches, but that's about it. It seems that Andy and Lauren really just want their guests to relax and enjoy their time together.

But, I am proud to say that this is the first wedding that I've ever worked where the groom has a legitimate sword on his hip and his groomsmen were outfitted with daggers. I, for one, feel very safe.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Let's Get Weird! edition!

It's been a while since I've worked this room.. and while I've worked it several times, I cant remember when it looked this nice. Everyone involved here did an amazing job.

Ok folks, let's get weird. But also let's embrace weird. That's the general sense of what's going on here, and I love it. It's the wedding of Freeman and Mary! Two people, who as it was sad at their ceremony, only need a nice place, good food, and some good dancing.

Ever the travelers, we have been inundated with stories of Freeman and Mary and their travels in places like Wyoming, South Dakota, and Pennsylvania and the significance of the jackolope as their defacto family logo. It seems like these two have already lived a life worth lived.

I personally believe that the best weddings showcase the personalities of our bride and groom. Which is why I have such high hopes for this particular wedding. It's not only that they have cool features like a working spiral gumball machine and games like crossword puzzles in the program. But they even did a best three out of five Rock-Paper-Scissors competition after the intros where the winner won a custom Rock-Paper-Scissors championship belt to wear during the first dance. Mary won.

Keep those personalities going Freeman and Mary! They will take you places you can't even imagine.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Wake Up Green Day! September's Ending! edition!

If you thought September was busy, just wait until October! It's not often that I get two three-event weekends, but here we are. Back at the all too familar backdrop of Tailwater Lodge. But you all know by now that I have a lot of love for this place and everybody in it.

And sure, it's a bit obvious to say that love is the theme of the day, after all it's a wedding! But then again to say something else would be disingenuous. When you have a bride and groom like Zack and Carly, who have been together for 8 years now, and are finally Crossing that threshold into marriage, love has to be the theme of the day.

I started the day seeing the groom who was understandably nervous about what was going to happen. Never once nervous that Carly wouldn't say yes, but more nervous about all eyes on him. And that's understandable for people who haven't been married before. And some people handle it good, some people handle it bad, and Zack, I think handled it just right.

They had a very nice, very involved ceremony that concluded in a bubble send off as they walked back up the aisle. Beyond that, the Spaeths have been enjoying their time in the spotlight, and enjoy some time out of it as well in private. They are going with the flow, and they seem to have Smiles on their face as they go.

And I should get used to this. No fuss, no muss, no over-the-top exaggerations. Just love, fun, and happiness.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, Participation Trophy edition!

Day one of a three event weekend folks! Buckle up and I'll see you on the other side!

Tonight's wedding is at a new venue for us, Heritage Hill Brewhouse in Pompey, NY featuring wide open spaces and a vista of rolling hills. And sure, there's wind, but I'll take it for what this place has to offer.

Tonight's wedding is between the incomparable and uncannily cool couple, Nia and James. During my work with these two, it was apparent that they may be a little quiet.. maybe a little reserved... dare I say, introverted? But you'd never know that by their amazing vows during the ceremony. They were so well spoken and you can tell that when they have each other, they're both gaining superpowers.

The name of the day today is interaction. The bride and groom wanted to make a very interactive wedding for their guests. That included some really interesting features. For example, guests were instructed to search under their chairs during the ceremony for stickers, and the two people who got stickers got to sign the marriage license. They also have an Easter egg hunt featuring over 200 eggs, interactive streamers during the grand entrance, custom Lego figures of each guest, and even a table blitz.

It seems like being laid back seems to be the theme of the day. Even to replace the traditional cake, the bride and groom are going to cut baklava. I personally love it when couples decide to bump the norm to show their personalities.

Friday is a fun day for a wedding... let's make sure it stays that way.

Kiss Cam 💋 time, I'm So In Love With You edition!

Another weekend, another wedding! I have a feeling this is gonna be a good one. Huge crowd, big excitement, fun vibes, what a recipe for wedding success!

Today we have the wedding of Lorenzo and Gabriella! Lorenzo, with is charm and charisma, and Gabriella with her sweetness and smile. I think they make a wonderful pair.

And throughout the wedding, their personalities have shown through. We're playing some well positioned Disney songs for Gabriella and some authentic Italian songs for her lovely mother, Maria.

And the people! This is possibly the most packed I've seen Traditions At The Links for a wedding. And that's great because we can test the might of their dance floor in a bit. But not before a cake cutting, Italian cookies, and a surprise that I can't go into her in case someone special is reading.

It's the calm before the storm, people. The next few weeks are jam packed.
