Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Goodbye August edition!

This August was insane. So many smiling faces, so many weddings, so many brand new clients, and it was all a blur. This is the final weekend of August. And then we enter the fall. Where we have sweat in my suit, but significantly less.

Two weddings this weekend, but only one full wedding as tomorrow I am only running sound for the ceremony of a friend of mine, that's it. So today we've traveled all the way to Skaneateles for our final full wedding of August.

The sweating is about the most straightforward wedding I've seen in a long time. It seems like we're all on a mission to get this all done and dusted. Everybody listen, we have a happy crowd, and everything seems to be going well. After all, it took Kyle and Paige 11 years to get here.

And this is Kyle and Page's wedding! It's a beautiful friday. There was a whole bunch of rain earlier, but that didn't affect anything. Paige has been smiling the entire time and happy. Kyle has been overjoyed as well! No drama. No stress. Every wedding should be like this.

What does the rest of the night have in store? Well, while everybody is enjoying CopperTop Catering, we've got some bubbles that will be blown, a dance floor that will be danced upon, and some more goodies as the night goes on.

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Catskill Celebration edition!

Here we are on my second event of the week. Yes, I said second. I did not post a kiss cam yesterday because circumstances and timing of the wedding did not dictate my ability to do so. However, I do wish Alex and Aimee a wonderful wedding and congratulations.

We hit the road for this wedding. About 2 and 1/2 hours Southeast into the Catskill Mountains of New York. And here we are at a new venue for us, a lovely Barn on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere known as Stonewall Estates. The love and meticulous care put into this place by ownership is absolutely apparent as there are so many amazing positives to this lovely place.

It's here where we're celebrating the wedding of Nick and olivia. Olivia is somebody that I've known for a long time as she is a cousin of my best friend. So when I was around, she was around. I always admire her for her feisty firecracker personality and I'm so happy that the little kid that I met all those years ago grew up to be a lovely person and tapped me to DJ her wedding.

The ceremony was beautiful overlooking the rolling hills of the Catskills. As a special guest, before Olivia walked down the aisle was there dog serving as flower girl. Guested by as the ceremony had its share of laughs, but alsolots of deep moments. And before you knew it, Nick and Olivia were husband and wife.

The rest of the reception took place inside the barn, save for a patio cocktail hour. But we have lots of features. A deck of playing cards that the guest should sign with good luck to the bride and groom, a photo booth, an audio guest book, a s'mores pit, late night snack of steak sandwiches, and lots of fun to be had.

And wouldn't you know it? Our friend Mike from the Munro is one of the groomsmen! Didn't see that coming!

So thank you for having me come down dan, and Olivia, I hope it was everything you dreamed it would be

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Size doesn't matter edition!

Well here it is folks, this is the third of three weddings of the weekend. Am I tired? Absolutely. But we pushed through for the lovely people who showed up for our amazing couple. Including our friends at Needle Media!

I'll be honest with you, this may be the smallest attended wedding I've had in a non-covid year. There is just 28 people here. I'm not sure if that qualifies for a micro wedding, but I can say that all 28 of them are locked in and focused for our bride and groom and their lovely day.

Nicholas and Lavona are our VIP couple of the day. And if they were bothered that the location had to change due to rain, you would never know it. These two have been soaking in every detail and mostly focused on each other on this great day.

They were married at the Aurora Inn, overlooking Cayuga Lake.. which, rumor has it, we will all be jumping into at the conclusion of this wedding. Flowers are strewn everywhere, the arbor overlooking the lake has been transformed into a beautiful symphony of florals and flowing drape.

The only thing we need to find out later, is will this smaller crowd fill the dance floor like a 300 person wedding? You never can tell with these smaller crowds. But I'll do my best to make that happen. And if it doesn't happen, bride and groom already warned me it's okay.

But after today, when they head back to Rhode island, I'm willing to bet that Nicholas and Lavona will have so many amazing memories

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Why Do We Have So Many Venues In Central New York That Are In Dead Zones? It's 2026, Get Your S**t Together CNY edition!

I mean seriously folks, what are we doing. Two weeks in a row, venues both in service dead zones, so I have to do this after the fact. Yes, it's annoying, but I guess it comes with the territory.

Enough ranting, let's talk about Mason and Amanda's wedding! I've known these two for a while and were very happy that they asked me to DJ their wedding. I've known Amanda much longer than Mason, along with all of Amanda's sisters, brother, and some extended family, so in a way, this was a great way to see old faces again.

Our Farm is a unique venue in Central New York, as it offers a rustic Barn with some added amenities and unique features like animals and a trebuchet. And it's served as the setting for the wedding today.

Amanda took everybody's breath away as she emerged from the barn for her walk down the aisle. Nothing could wipe the smile off her face as she took her place on her special day. The ceremony was beautiful in the lawn and garden area of the venue and Mason's vows capped It Off with some references to The Nightmare Before Christmas, and other pop culture properties.

The rest of the day was filled with people taking advantage of the nice weather. They ate, drink, and danced all throughout the venue, especially the last hour where you could not peel our bride off of the dance floor. And in the end, there was a bubble send-off as the bread and groom got on the shuttle bus it went off at Central New York's newest married couple.

Mason and Amanda's wedding was everything that I imagined it would be. And I hope that to them, it was more than they ever could have imagined.

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Crazy and Annoying People edition!

Well here we are, another 3 Day weekend of wetted bliss coming at us and lovely Central New York. And for the first time in what seems forever, we are back at tailwater lodge. This place has been so good to Salt City Sound Machine over the years, some years we even imagined me sleeping here because I had back-to-back events.

And I don't worry folks, the first sentence is nothing derogatory. It was explained by the officiant during the ceremony that the first thoughts are bride and groom had about each other was that Joe thought Emily was crazy and Emily thought Joe was annoying. Well somehow the combination of crazy and annoying got us to where we are today in this lovely venue.

The ceremony wasn't creekside, rather was spent indoors where we've spent several ceremonies in the past. The ceremony is absolutely spectacular with lots of inside jokes, gambling and jet ski references, and stories about how Joe and Emily got together. All to say, you never know where life will take you if you plow somebody's driveway.

The rest of the festivities have been as beautiful as they've been low-key. Sure, there have been some awesome Grand interests including some fake money, some hobby horses, and other shenanigans. But ultimately, the reception so far has been filled with tender dances an emotional speeches leading up to our current dinner hour.

And who knows, maybe mixing crazy and annoying might be the right combination for a marriage. Time will tell with that one. But I'm confident everything will work out.

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, The Day After edition!

I usually don't do day-after Kiss Cams. When you combine me having to call tables with miniscule, if any, internet connection, that is a recipe for No Kiss Cam day. But here I am. I'm not in my suit, and I don't have to cram this project into a dinner hour while I'm working, so I guess it worked out.

Wedding #3 of this bonkers weekend of travel and marathon weddings took us to Oneida, NY at the ever-present barn known as Wolf Oak Acres. This is a venue known for its variety of picturesque ceremony spots.... when the sky doesn't open and pour down rain, that is.

And sure, it rained. The ceremony was forced inside and plans were changed. But you know what? That's okay! Weather happens and it is merely a setback. But rest assured, the real main event occurred in that barn and the rain could not stop it.

Jeff and Kaela shook off the setback and walked the aisle with all the confidence in patch tree that is to be expected from a newlywed couple. In fact, Jeff's walk down the aisle had a little bit of extra flair to match his Dr. Dre accompaniment, while Kaela held the guests in suspense that she waited for the absolute perfect time in her song to emerge.

Beyond that, they made up for lost opportunities. The sun came out during cocktail hour and our couple took advantage of being able to get those elusive pictures that seem impossible with the rain.

The rest of the reception was filled with fun and joy. People took advantage of the wonderful food, and the very cool photo booth that was provided. Various types of glow and light sticks fill the air as guests danced. Kaela's enthusiasm was completely off the charts and seemingly wherever she went, the party went with her. And of course, by her side, was Jeff. Constantly smiling, constantly happy, and constantly in love.

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Quick Friday Wedding edition!

It's crazy to me how two different weddings can be within 24 hours of each other and be completely polar opposites. Last night's wedding was an absolute Marathon. It was like 9 hours with a five and a half hour dance floor. And an absolutely kicked my butt physically.

But today is the absolute opposite. It's a quick drive up to Oswego into a familiar friends at Curtis Manor and 4 hours later we are all done! In and out and beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful, check out our couple of the day, Jason and Tiffany. This is a couple that is trying their best to go with whatever flow, match where they're unbridled energy to have a good time and remember the day.

We did the ceremony inside the barn here at Curtis Manor, where the rest of the reception is taking place. We got to reunite with an officiant we have been working with lately, Wade, as he delivered the nuptuals. Next thing you knew, Jason and Tiffany were exchanging rings and mixing sand, and the rest is history.

With such a tight window, I'm going to do my best to try to get as much fun dancing in as I can so we can get our energy out and have a really good party. So let's stick as much as we can to our plan, and get it in when we can.

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, We The North edition!

Oh Canada. Our great neighbors to the North. Home of Blue Jays, Bryan Adams, the Calgary Stampede, and Robin Sparkles. If not for Canada, I'd be sittqping on the couch today because that's where our special couple is from!

Mike and Tyra now live in Canton and they are today's lovely couple. As stated, originally from Canada, their vows were littered with references to their times in Regina, Ottawa, and other places up North.

But now, they're here and we are in Watertown at the Lincoln Loft for an amazing Thursday wedding. We have a fun group ready to have fun. And there are even some surprises coming that I know about, but can't divulge in case this gets read before it happens.

The venue is beautiful. The bride and groom are super happy. And I'm currently playing Drake. It seems like it all fits.

Kiss Cam πŸ’‹ time, Long lost cousins or not edition!

Look, a lot of people are named Johnson, Smith, or Jones. There aren't a whole lot of people named Kuc in this area. But that just so happens to not only be the bride's maiden name, but also my mother's maiden name. So the question was, are we distant cousins? As of now, the prevailing knowledge is no, we aren't. But hey, all of my clients are in the SCSM family!

Seth and Hannah couldn't have chosen a better day to get married. The temp is high, but not too high. The sun is shining, skies are blue, and the farmland that the venue overlooks is vibrant and alive. As usual, Highland Forest offers a lovely backdrop for every wedding.

And such, the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Hannah looked radiant in her gown and Seth in his tan suit. And while there was a little bit of a false start for the kiss, everybody laughed it off and everybody had a great time.

We have a very energetic crowd here tonight. It was so many features! There's a grass wall with a neon you and me sign that people can use as a makeshift photo booth. There's a large slab of wood that guests are asked to sign as a guest book. There are inflatable microphones and glow sticks and custom sunglasses with the bride and groom's name on them. Even specialty drinks named after the cats of the bride and groom

If the sun set isn't too much of a competitor, we stand to have a really great time throughout the course of the night!

Family or not, I still like them!
