Throughout 2022 I wasn't sure I was going to continue with my photography -- I was having some dark times, continually telling myself the ridiculous story that my work was no longer desired and that I should just move on.

But every once in awhile, through those dark clouds -- a light would shine down and I'd feel the glow on my face reminding me why I love what I do.

And the truth is -- people do love my work.

Sometimes I'm reminded when a client takes time out of their day to describe to me what my photography has done for them. How much they cherish the moments I capture. Other times, someone leaves us earthside with that palpable craving to rewind time and pause the moments they laughed inside of my camera.

Both remind me how important this craft is, and that people not only love it -- but they need it as well.

Sometimes life just comes full circle.

Lannie and I would rock out to Lisa Loeb and eat Kraft macaroni & cheese while she babysat me as a youngster. We had so many fun nights together and she was always one of my favorite babysitters.

Fast forward to this past weekend when I got to document her becoming one of the most beautiful brides I've seen.

With Mercury going retrograde and a full moon in the sky, I watched her elegantly dodge and leap over each and every mishap that occurred on her wedding day. Swollen eyes. Missing cakes. Scheduling mishaps and delays. Nothing was going to stop her from marrying her man -- and nothing did.

In the end it was the simple, love filled gathering they'd hoped for and I'm so blessed and happy that she chose me to capture it.

This month, I’m celebrating ALL the mamas.

They are the ones who often get left behind; doing so much for others without getting the appreciation they deserve.

Moms come in all shapes, sizes, and even genders. Biological mamas, foster mamas, step-mamas, grandmamas, and furmamas all need a little recognition from time to time.

Now until the end of May, I’ll be offering 2 hour “Mama & Me” sessions for $333.

These sessions will be centered around ✨observational photography✨
