🌸 In lieu of flowers, let’s send books. 📚

Today, the world lost a woman who showed us that you can be bold and soft, successful and generous, glamorous and kind, all at once.

At Dolly Parton’s request, her family has asked that donations be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in lieu of flowers.

As florists, flowers are usually how we help people say I love you, I’m thinking of you, you mattered.

But this time, we’re honoring the request. 🤍

As a reader myself, this cause feels especially close to my heart. I truly believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow up with books of their own, to discover new worlds, build their imagination, and experience the kind of magic that can only be found between the pages of a book. A love of reading can begin with something as simple as putting the right book into a child’s hands, and every child deserves that chance.

In honor of Dolly and the incredible legacy she leaves behind, The Evermore Collective will be collecting donations for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Our community goal is $250, and Evermore will match the first $100 donated. Every dollar collected will go to the Imagination Library to help put books into the hands and homes of children.

Whether it’s $1, $5, or $20—it matters. Give what you can. Share if you can’t. 🤍

What began as Makay's Bouquets has evolved into something far beyond florals alone. Over time, I discovered my true passion wasn't just creating beautiful pieces – it was designing the entire experience behind them.

From creative direction and event aesthetics to tablescapes, florals, layouts, styling, and coordination, The Evermore Collective was created to bring meaningful events to life in a way that feels elevated, personal, and unforgettable.
