Part of The Vaillancourt Retail Gallery has been reimagined as a Gothic Halloween setting for our Annual Fall Uncorking. Raise a glass, welcome the season, and be among the first to see Scootering Skeleton Ghost, the newest addition to our 2026 fine art chalkware collection, along with two new wines from Lodi, California.

Consider it a prelude. Edgar Allan Poe takes our stage on Saturday, October 24.

Our artists may spend much of the year thinking about Christmas, but as summer begins to soften, their attention is turning toward fall.

Just returned to the collection are two familiar Halloween works, each capturing the playful side of the season.

"Halloween Kitty in Jack O’Lantern" finds a curious black cat in a rather precarious situation, peeking through the grinning mouth of a freshly carved pumpkin. With white paws and a snowy nose, this mischievous feline brings just the right balance of Halloween character and charm.

"Medium Trick or Treating Ghost" recalls the handmade simplicity of childhood Halloweens. Draped in a classic white sheet and carrying a carved jack-o’-lantern, this cheerful trick-or-treater evokes a season remembered for neighborhood walks, candy collecting, laughter, and tradition.

Both pieces have returned just as we begin looking ahead to cooler days, autumn gatherings, and the familiar rituals that make fall so memorable.

In celebration of upcoming International Cat Day, we are bringing three beloved fine art chalkware cats back into view—distinctive works that have not been produced since the 1980s and 1990s.

Whether they recall a cherished companion or simply capture the grace, character, and quiet charm of the feline form, these rare designs reflect both the lighthearted spirit and regal elegance that have long made Vaillancourt’s animal pieces so treasured among collectors.

Today marks the first day of our annual Christmas In July Pop-Up at Nantucket Looms, and we could not be more excited to share the 2026 Nantucket Santa with collectors in person. Join us today from 1:00–5:00pm (and tomorrow from 10:00am–3:00pm) as Premier Numbers begin releasing, giving attendees the first opportunity to select the earliest hand-painted editions of this newest design, inspired by Nantucket’s seafaring heritage with Santa sailing atop the great white whale of Moby-Dick. After a week of clouds and rain, the island is finally welcoming a glimpse of sunshine today, and we like to think that’s no coincidence as we gather to celebrate another year of Christmas tradition by the sea. We look forward to seeing both longtime collectors and new friends throughout the weekend.

We are pleased to introduce the 2026 Nantucket Santa, now available for pre-order—a design where Christmas magic meets maritime legend. Inspired by Nantucket’s rich seafaring history, Santa is lifted in his dory by the great white whale of Moby-Dick, with his sack of toys and a loyal companion at his side. The scene blends adventure and tradition, brought to life with Judi Vaillancourt’s signature hand-painted detail and subtle touches of glitter that give the rolling waves a soft, reflective shimmer.

What began in 2008 as a small addition to our display at Bartlett’s Farm has grown into one of our most cherished traditions. The Nantucket Santa series continues to evolve in storytelling and craftsmanship, honoring the island’s heritage while creating meaningful heirlooms for collectors who share a love of the sea and the season. While pre-orders are now open, Premier Numbers of the 2026 edition will be reserved for collectors attending our annual Christmas in July Pop-Up at Nantucket Looms, where we will also present a curated selection of past and retired works.

As we prepare for our Christmas in July Pop-Up at Nantucket Looms on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, we’re delighted to share Nantucket Basket Friends Reindeer. Graceful and alert, this companion reindeer carries its own Nantucket friendship basket, paying homage to the original folk art treasures often found tucked away in Williamsburg museums. Nestled beside the reindeer are Christmas gifts, including a charming teddy bear dressed for winter, adding a tender touch of holiday nostalgia. Its antlers and poised posture convey elegance and purpose, while its painterly expression brings warmth, individuality, and character to the piece. Finished with a harness inspired by traditional maritime rigging and a festive Christmas garland wrapped around the basket’s handle, this reindeer beautifully reinforces the oceanic theme central to the series. Striking on its own or paired with its Santa counterpart, it is a joyful celebration of Nantucket, folk art, and Christmas tradition.
