Hey all! GREAT NEWS! We just received notice from Boston Athletic Association regarding the Bizz Johnson Marathon events that "at this time races under 999 ft net elevation loss will not have the index applied to the finish times."
At 935 feet of net loss, our Boston-qualifier marathon is the PERFECT race for you to qualify and not be penalized with a time adjustment!

The Bizz Johnson is on Saturday October 11, 2025 to Sunday October 12, 2025. It includes the following events: 50K, Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, Express Half Marathon, and Express Half Marathon Relay.

Portion of Bizz Johnson Trail Temporarily Closed for Rockslide Safety

A recent rockslide has blocked part of the Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail about three miles west of the Susanville Trailhead. As such, the BLM is asking the public to temporarily avoid the area while we actively work to clear large boulders and stabilize the hillside to ensure safe passage for all.

In the meantime, some areas of the trail remain open for recreation, including the Susanville Trailhead to the slide area and from the Devil’s Corral Trailhead. Visitors are encourage to enjoy those areas, while being mindful of trail conditions. Avoid using the trail when it is muddy.
