I always remind my couples: a $50K wedding and a $250K wedding can both be beautiful.

But they feel very different — and it’s not just about “more flowers” or “bigger venues.”

The real difference is in the level of design, service, entertainment, and guest experience you’re able to create.

💍 At $50K, the focus is on the essentials. Décor and florals are kept minimal, a DJ typically handles all the music (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception), and service is lean with smaller vendor teams or partial planning support. Guests will still have a great time, but the overall experience is simpler and more streamlined by necessity.

💍 At $250K, every element can be layered and elevated. Design becomes immersive, service feels seamless thanks to seasoned professionals, entertainment blends live and recorded elements for a richer experience, and guest touches — like luxury transportation, specialty cocktails, or a late-night surprise — are built in intentionally.

Neither approach is “better” than the other. It’s about what matters most to you. But understanding how budgets translate in the real world helps couples set realistic expectations and make intentional choices.

The secret to a truly elevated wedding isn’t just how much you spend — it’s how thoughtfully you spend it.

Movie weddings look magical on screen, but most of them would be a complete disaster in real life or a logistical nightmare to make happen. 🎬

From aisles full of impossible flowers to flooded church runways and backyard transformations that happen “overnight,” Hollywood weddings are built for drama, not logistics. What looks dreamy in a two-hour film would take months of planning, permits, a sky-high budget, and a small army of planners and vendors to even attempt.

And honestly? The most important parts of a wedding, the emotions, the guest experience, the moments that feel personal and true, often get lost in the spectacle.

That’s the difference between a cinematic wedding and a real one: movies chase the visuals, while real weddings balance design with experience, so the day actually works and feels intentional.

Which movie wedding do you think would be a total disaster in real life?

One of the fastest ways to blow your budget (and your guest experience) is by handing out plus ones like candy 🍬🫠

You do not owe every guest a plus one. And if you want to stop people from asking, it all comes down to how you set the tone.

Be intentional with who you invite. If you wouldn’t recognize their partner in a lineup, you probably don’t need to pay for their dinner. Address invitations clearly, only to the people you’re actually inviting. No “& Guest.” No grey areas.

Then communicate it kindly but firmly. A simple note on your website “Our guest list is limited to those listed on the invitation” is polite, clear, and leaves no room for negotiation.

An intimate, well-curated guest list doesn’t feel exclusive in a negative way. It feels thoughtful. Guests notice the difference when every person in the room is someone you actually want there.

So, stop stressing about awkward plus one requests. Boundaries are part of what makes your wedding feel elevated. ✨

Some wedding opinions are polite. These aren’t those. 👀

After years of planning weddings, I’ve realized that half the “rules” we treat as gospel are either outdated, unnecessary, or secretly making your day worse.

Do you really need to give every guest a plus one? No.
Do kids actually enjoy weddings? Also no.
And don’t get me started on wedding party introductions or speeches that drag on forever… 🫠

Your wedding isn’t meant to follow a checklist of traditions just because someone else did them. It’s meant to feel intentional, elevated, and true to you.

So yes, these takes might get me side-eyed at Thanksgiving, but they’ll also give you permission to design a wedding that feels meaningful, stylish, and (most importantly) enjoyable.

Now tell me… which of these do you secretly agree with? And which one would you defend to the end? ⬇️

Taylor Swift doesn’t just release an album, she creates an era. Every lyric, font, outfit, and easter egg is intentional. And honestly? That’s exactly how your wedding should feel.

It’s not just about a single day.
It’s about building anticipation.
It’s about cohesive design that tells a story.
It’s about authenticity, a celebration that feels like you, not a copy of someone else’s Pinterest board.

When every element connects, from your save-the-date to your tablescape, from your welcome drinks to your lighting... Your wedding stops feeling like “just an event” and becomes an experience your guests will never forget.

Just like Taylor’s eras, the weddings that stand out the most are the ones where every detail feels intentional and immersive.

So no, you’re not just planning a wedding… you’re creating your era 💫

Some of my 2026 wedding predictions might make you want to start planning immediately… and some might make you give me the side-eye 👀

But as someone who’s in the thick of this industry every day, I can tell you, trends aren’t born on Pinterest, they’re crafted by real couples with real budgets having real weddings.

From micro weddings with macro budgets to the death of the “safe” neutral palette, here’s what I’m expecting in 2026 (and trust me… you’re going to want to steal at least one of these ideas).

Save this for when you start planning because you might just be ahead of the curve.

Which one would you love to see at your wedding? ⬇️

Some traditions are timeless… and others? 🫠 Let’s just say they’re overdue for retirement 😉

I’m talking about the ones we keep doing just because they’ve ALWAYS been done, even when they don’t align with modern values, personal preferences, or the way weddings actually work today.

Imagine your wedding without:
• The pressure to assemble a matching lineup of friends standing at the altar.
• Language that frames you as being “given away.”
• A guest list that includes your old neighbor’s cousin’s roommate.

Your wedding should reflect you, not a checklist from 1985. If a tradition doesn’t feel meaningful, empowering, or joyful… you have full permission to skip it.

Your day. Your rules. No explanations required.

What wedding tradition would you happily retire? (And what one would you keep forever?) Let’s discuss 👇

There’s a reason I don’t plan weddings like parties.

Because a wedding isn’t just about throwing a beautiful event, it’s about managing high-stakes logistics, navigating emotional dynamics, and pulling off a live production with zero room for error.

A party can run late. A party can miss a beat.
But a wedding is a one-shot moment, whether you like it or not 😐

And if something goes wrong, it lives in your memory (and your photos) forever.

This is why hiring someone with actual wedding experience matters. Not someone who can style a table or “make it fun.” Someone who can anticipate, prevent, and protect, while making it all look effortless.

So no, I don’t plan weddings like parties.
And that’s exactly why my clients get to fully enjoy theirs.

A cake that belongs in a gallery, not just on a dessert table.

This layered beauty from our Hamilton Farm editorial was more than just sweet—it was sculptural, romantic, and designed to echo the textures and tones of the entire shoot. A true work of edible art that captured the essence of old-world elegance with a modern edge.

Life as art. That was the heartbeat of this editorial at Hamilton Farm Golf Club—a shoot that came to life through months of thoughtful planning, layered design, and the shared vision of a wildly talented team. We poured intention into every detail, curating a wedding scene that felt both romantic and refined, with a distinctly European sensibility. From the sculptural cake to the art gallery–inspired menus and the dramatic Pronovias jacket that transformed the bride’s look, every element was chosen to evoke emotion and beauty. This was more than just a styled shoot—it was a true collaboration among artists, designers, and creatives who believe in the power of storytelling through design. The result is a gallery of images that feels transportive, elegant, and deeply personal—and a reflection of the kind of magic that happens when great minds come together with a shared commitment to excellence.

Wedding Planning Myths Debunked!
Wedding planning can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Let’s bust some common myths to help you create the wedding of your dreams.
Myth 1: You can only hire local vendors.
Out-of-town vendors bring fresh perspectives and unique skills. Hiring vendors from other areas opens you up to creative ideas and specialized expertise. I’ve worked with vendors from all over. Don’t hesitate to hire talent that fits your vision—even if they’re not local. Just plan for travel costs.
Myth 2: Bigger is better.
Smaller weddings can be just as meaningful and memorable, if not more. Intimate weddings allow for deeper connections and a more relaxed atmosphere. I help couples create guest lists focused on their closest loved ones, ensuring a more personal experience.
Myth 3: You have to stick to traditional wedding flowers.
Seasonal and unconventional flowers can create a unique look. Opting for seasonal or unique blooms can help you create something unique and fresh. I guide couples in choosing flowers that align with their vision, creating one-of-a-kind arrangements.
Myth 4: You have to host your wedding at a traditional venue.
Unconventional venues can make your wedding stand out. Unique venues, like art galleries or libraries, allow for more creative freedom and can make your wedding unforgettable. I’ve helped couples plan weddings in venues that reflect their style and don't worry, we will help you with all of the other details.
Myth 5: You have to go the traditional seated dinner route.
Lighter catering options can still be elegant and satisfying. Food stations, passed appetizers or full cocktail receptions offer variety and create a fun, interactive atmosphere. I’ve planned weddings with alternative catering options that delight guests without the formal sit-down dinner.

Your wedding should be a reflection of your vision. Let’s make it happen together!
